Children make up more than 40% of the 7,703 people killed in Gaza ... With a further 1,000 children reported missing in Gaza assumed buried under the rubble, the death toll is likely much higher.

It is reported that at least 6,360 children in Gaza have also been injured, as well as at least 180 children in the West Bank, and at least 74 children in Israel.

The risk of children dying from injuries has never been higher, with the UN reporting that a third of hospitals across the Gaza Strip are no longer operational due to electricity cuts and a “total siege” by the Government of Israel blocking entry of goods such as fuel and medicine.

Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank have distributed threatening leaflets on cars and left bloodied dolls at schools, warning Palestinians to leave or be killed.

"By God, we will descend upon your heads with a great catastrophe soon. You have the last chance to escape to Jordan in an organised manner," said one leaflet circulated on Friday in the West Bank city of Salfit.

"After that, we will destroy every enemy and forcefully expel you from our holy land … Load your bags immediately and leave wherever you came from. We are coming."

The leaflet also warned of a new "major Nakba", referencing the 1948 displacement of 750,000 Palestinians from their homeland.

In the occupied Al-Ma'rajat area near Jericho, dolls covered in red paint, ostensibly to look like blood and scare young students, were left at the entrance of a school after settlers vandalised it.

Leslie Bailey pled guilty to the killing of Mark Tildesley and to the 1985 murder of six-year-old Barry Lewis. 

Bailey died in mysterious circumstances in his jail cell, aged 40, in 1993.

The father of UK pop star Adam Ant, Alfred Leslie Goddard (above left), was reportedly part of Sydney Cooke's child abuse gang.

Was passing through Whitehall and Trafalgar Square yesterday afternoon. The pro Palestinian demo was interesting. A largely family affair, (family affair being the next level up from peaceful).

It had an almost carnival atmosphere to it. Only possible when the demonstrators are peaceful and the Police too. The Police were out in massive numbers and there were 2 Police helicopters overhead at any one time. The Police were dressed for wet weather and were wearing baseball caps. Their attire was not combative and although the TSG were present, were not trying to cause any difficulties or maintain a threatening presence. Despite their huge numbers, were keeping a low profile and 'spotting' rather than anything more sinister (to their credit).



Nice to see the Jewish Voice for Labour and Jewish Network for Palestine well represented with their banners. That said, no self respecting demo 'worth its salt' could take part without the Socialist Worker likewise (a very organised and visual presence). My favourite, however, was a sign with 'queers for Palestine' (lol).

A couple of clowns at the Cenotaph later in the day sporting Israeli flags and Union Jacks. They must have been bitterly disappointed when no one attacked them as they hid behind the Police. It felt like an act of provoking the crowd. To be fair though, nothing at all wrong with any flag, just the crude attempt at inflaming a large crowd for political kudos.

Once everyone got the ubiquitous selfies and rain threatened, the event dispersed quietly (as might be expected).

Today marked the heaviest bombing on Gaza since the beginning of the war. Artillery was also used starting in the evening. Besides the horrible humanitarian situation, all major communication channels have now been cut, and there is a total internet and mobile blackout in the Gaza strip.

Very early in the morning of October 27th, U.S. F-16 fighter jets struck IRGC-affiliated targets in Al-Bukamal, Syria, according to the Pentagon.

Several unidentified drones have crashed in Egypt, in the cities of Taba and Suweida. Presumably, the drones were launched by the Houthis from Yemen and flew over the Red Sea towards Israel, where the IAF intercepted them, causing the debris to fall in Egyptian territory.

Hezbollah attacked IDF positions across the border in the settlements of Al-Sadh, Misgav Am, Ruwaysat Al-Alam, Samaqah, Zibdin and others, killing several enemy soldiers and destroying surveillance and communications equipment.

Israel responded by shelling South Lebanon as usual. However, the northern front was still very quiet compared to what we're used to seeing these days.

Israel reportedly intercepted several projectiles fired from Syria into the occupied Golan Heights, and the IDF responded by shelling the launch sites.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq targeted the Ayn Al-Assad base in Iraq, the Al-Tanf base in Syria, and possibly also the Kharab Al-Jir and Al-Omar bases in Syria, according to reports. As of now, they have only officially claimed the attack on Ayn Al-Assad and Al-Tanf.

The IDF announced that they would 'expand ground operations in Gaza tonight', leading to widescale reporting and speculation that the ground offensive into Gaza has officially started.

A few hours after the IDF statement, Israeli tanks crossed into Gaza and clashes near Beit Hanoun were reported. However, due to the total media blackout in Gaza, it is impossible to accurately assess the extent of the Israeli incursion, and whether the long anticipated full-scale ground offensive has really begun.

Large pro-Hamas rallies took place in many cities in the West Bank including Jenin, Nablus and Jerusalem.

Speculation about the ground offensive continues into the night, as Israeli outlets mostly try to downplay the current incursion, while U.S. sources, amongst others, claim that tonight does in fact constitute the beginning of a large scale ground offensive. Some sources are reporting the invasion might happen in phases, rather than in one swift motion, and are saying that this could have been the beginning of the first phase.
