ADVERSE CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCES



Two thirds of Scots children experience adverse childhood experiences such as domestic violence or parental drug misuse.

"Traumatic events are experienced by two thirds of children in Scotland before the age of eight, according to researchers at the University of Edinburgh.

"Growing evidence shows that ACEs influence brain development and have a long-term impact on lifetime health, wellbeing and outcomes."

Parents undergoing mental health problems or relationship break-ups were the most common, each affecting around one-third of children.

Almost one quarter of children had experienced frequent physical punishment.

One in five felt unloved or emotionally neglected.

Some 14 per cent had been exposed to parental drug or alcohol misuse, while one in 10 had been exposed to domestic violence.

GENDER ROLES AND VIOLENCE

Countries such as Iceland and Switzerland are fairly relaxed about 'gender'.

Countries such as Saudi Arabia and Yemen are the opposite.

Conservative countries (think of genital mutilation, homophobia and male leaders) tend to be more violent.

In many countries, girls are given a hard time.

For girls aged 10 - 19 globally, suicide is the leading cause of death.

The conservatives fail to see that the animal kingdom has a variety of genders.

VIOLENCE AND RACISM - TRUMP AND CLINTON

The turnout in the recent election in Russia was 47%.

Russia - record low turnout .

A lot of Russians wanted to send a signal that they do not like any of the candidates.

Will voters in the USA send a signal that they do not like either Clinton or Trump?



Does violence work for Trump?

22 September 2016 - Trump 44%, Clinton 39%.

Trump spent Christmas Eve with George Soros in 2009, according to the New York Post.

Is Soros Jewish?

The USA  has a long history of racism and violence.

Does Racism work for Trump?

At the time of Nixon, it was said that "Race is the dominant issue without any question."

Ronald Reagan in 1980 kicked off his campaign at a site used as a meeting place by the KKK.

In January 1993, Bill Clinton left New Hampshire prior to the primary vote to return to Arkansas to preside over the execution of Rickey Ray Rector, a black man.
