Rod Richards.

Rod Richards (1947 – 2019) was a British Conservative politician. 

Richards worked for the security service MI6.

Richards worked for the BBC.  

During John Major's government Richards was appointed Parliamentary Private Secretary in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

Richards divorced, after revelations in 1996 of an extra-marital affair.

In 1999, Richards was charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm on a young woman.  

Richards was cleared of the assault in June 2000.

In 2003, Richards was declared bankrupt. 

It was reported in 2008 that Richards was arrested in connection with an assault on a Conservative party worker. 

He was later released after receiving a caution from police. 

In 2012, Rod Richards announced that he had seen evidence linking Margaret Thatcher's aide Sir Peter Morrison to the North Wales children’s homes case, in which up to 650 children in 40 homes were sexually abused over 20 years. 

Rod Richards also linked a second leading Conservative – now dead – to the scandals at homes including Bryn Estyn and Bryn Alyn Hall, both near Wrexham.

"'Arranged' marriages allow the new undeclared gay MP to live his life as he is sexually inclined to do whilst his 'charming and devoted wife' does her 'own thing' with whomsoever she pleases provided the watchword is discretion. Local party members grow to love her because she is always around for coffee mornings and tombolas."

In deposition, detectives said Atchison suggested the mother tell her daughter that "you found her a sweet boyfriend who will bring her presents." The undercover detective expressed concern about physical injury to the 5-year-old girl as a result of the sexual activity.  Detectives said Atchison responded, " I am always gentle and loving; not to worry, no damage ever, no rough stuff ever. I only like it soft and nice." The undercover detective asked how Atchison can be certain of no injury. He responded, "Just gotta go slow and very easy. I've done it plenty," according to detectives.

'COPELAND BY-ELECTION RIGGED'

There was a by-election in Copeland, in the UK, on 23 February 2017.

SKWAWKBOX reports that fake postal votes may have been used to rig the Copeland by-election.

New information deepens doubts over #Copeland by-election

"Sky News reported at two minutes to midnight that the number of postal votes was already known."

There were said to be 9,000 postal votes.

"The figure of 9,000 is broadly in line with that reported for the 2015 general election."



On 23 February 2017, the BBC's David Dimbleby reported that Labour had won Copeland.

However, on 24 February some extra postal votes mysteriously arrived.

It was then announced that the Conservative Party had won the Copeland by-election.
