"I suggest that the purpose to our life's journey here on planet earth is to discover the veils of illusion that we have fearfully attached us to ... and then ... collapse them...
"We consciously choose more lovingly empowered thoughts...
"In this state, we can ... take action on our unique life mission of contributing to ever greater love, peace, and joy in our world.
"The Kingdom of Heaven is within us...
"Each of us has the ability to call matter, people, situations, things, and circumstances into form...
"Buddha reminds us, 'All that we are is a result of what we have thought'.
'It is your attachments that causes your suffering.' – Buddha
"The untrained mind is tempted by the allure of fearful and dramatic thoughts.
"The ego mind ... enslaves our consciousness...
"The result of this entrapment is attachment ... Our actions bring suffering and we experience separation from the present moment ... and most importantly, love.
"The unconscious mind is greatly attracted to the entertainment of our buzzing thoughts and those offered to us by the ego's material plane of reality...
"The Hawaiian Mystics teach ... reconciliation and forgiveness...

"Give people Hugs.
"Listen carefully to what people say, be very present and PAY ATTENTION to them.
"Be kind, caring, considerate and respectful of everyone and everything. Speak lovingly, kindly and compassionately to all, all the time.
He worked out that, in order to be happy, we need to try to understand how the brain takes in and processes joy and sadness.
After the sudden death of his son, Ali (a routine appendectomy in Dubai), Mo and his family turned to his equation for happiness - and it saved them from despair.
CHAPTER 1: SETTING UP THE EQUATION
Make your own list of things that make you happy
Unhappiness is when your reality does not match your hopes and expectations.
Happiness starts with a conscious choice
CHAPTER 2
Fun removes pain.
Switch off the excessive thinking that overwhelms our brains.
With no thoughts, we rerun to our default, childlike state: happiness
CHAPTER 3
You are not your thoughts.
Those thoughts are there to serve you.
The easiest way to become happy is just to be happy.
Remove the unhappy thought, replace it with a happy one, and let the rest take care of itself.
CHAPTER 4
Like a Russian doll, you need to remove the layers one by one, trying to distinguish the real you from the roles you’ve assumed over the years until you find your pure self.
As much as you might think so, you are not the star of the movie.
Most of what happens around you isn’t about you at all.
There are infinite numbers of other movies, you were just a supporting actor.
CHAPTER 5
Be a seeker of the truth, always ready to admit being wrong in order to continue the quest.
CHAPTER 6
Happy emotions are mostly anchored in the present moment.
Whatever you’re upset about is rooted in a past you cannot change or a future that may turn out to be completely different from what you expect.
CHAPTER 7
With so many things (apparently) out of our control the two things in our control are our actions and our attitude.
CHAPTER 8
Fear is an illusion.
Pain is just a thought, and your brain can ignore it.
CHAPTER 9
The evidence shows that most of us tend to be negative most of the time.
CHAPTER 10
Practice awareness and noticing things around you in your life.
While doing an activity, put your full attention and awareness into that activity.
CHAPTER 11
Try reframing ambition so that the focus is on the goal of becoming a better person regardless of how you compare to others
CHAPTER 12
Relationships suffer because they are built on conditional love in an ever-changing world.
There’s no happiness without love. True love delivers lasting joy.
The more love you give, the more you get back.
The Law of Conservation or Multiplication of Love: Love never goes to waste.
The more you give it away, the more loved you will feel
Even the most annoying, seemingly hateful people you meet, when you see behind the egos, fears and thought-obsessed behaviors, you will find peaceful children who just want to be loved and appreciated.
Once loved, most of them drop the masks and turn real.
Love yourself.
Jott down everything about you that’s positive or admirable.
CHAPTER 13
The physical self is an illusion.
Life is not the body that is subject to the limitations of space-time.
The real you is the observer, not the physical form that represents you. That is what life really is
Everything we have will be left behind so why do we focus so much on our possessions?
Nothing is really yours, and so nothing can be lost.
Letting go and allowing things to leave from your life allows for space and new things to come in.
Life is like a game in which the difficulty makes it fun, whereas easy would make it boring.
Life is similar to a game in that we enter this level through a portal called birth and then leave it through death where we enter the next level.
Death is just a portal to another life, and we never really die just our physical form.
CHAPTER 14
There is no scientific way to prove something does not exist.
Ultimately the math is clear, nothing is random. We’re all a part of a grand design
The designer doesn’t run the show, his equations do.
Brian Weiss had a young female patient called Catherine, who has apparently had many previous lives.
'On one occasion , when her parents came to visit her, her father expressed tremendous doubt about what was happening.
'To prove to him that it was true, she took him to the racetrack.
'There, right before his eyes, she proceeded to pick the winner of every race.
'He was stunned.
'Once she knew that she had proved her point, she took all of the money that she had won and gave it to the first poor street person she met on her way out of the track. She intuitively felt that the new spiritual powers she had gained should not be used for financial reward.
Catherine describes some previous lives.
'She died of old age, in her bed at home with her family around.
'She again floated out of her body after her death , but this time she was not perplexed or confused.
'"I am aware of a bright light. It's wonderful; you get energy from this light."
'She was resting, after death, in between life - times. Minutes passed in silence . Suddenly she spoke, but not in the slow whisper she had always used previously. Her voice was now husky and loud, without hesitation.
'"Our task is to learn , to become God-like through knowledge.
'"We know so little. You are here to be my teacher. I have so much to learn. By knowledge we approach God , and then we can rest. Then we come back to teach and help others. "
'And what about my father and my son ? In a sense , they were still alive ; they had never really died.
'They were talking to me , years after their burials , and proving it by providing specific, very secret information .
'Only we can rid ourselves . . . of the bad habits that we accumulate when we are in a physical state. The Masters cannot do that for us. If you choose to fight and not to rid yourself , then you will carry them over into another life.'
"Everybody's path is basically the same . We all must learn certain attitudes while we're in physical state. Some of us are quicker to accept them than others. Charity, hope , faith, love .."
The messages from The Masters is what resounded with me.
Yes they are there and yes they do guide us and sometimes, in the wee hours, between waking and sleeping, you can hear them.
But very rarely; I can count those instances on one hand.
I have to also recommend any work by Joan Grant, especially her Winged Pharaoh. And HerBak by Isha Schwaller de Lubicz, and Initiation by Elizabeth Haich. Winged Pharaoh is a delight; pure poetry and vision; so deep you sink into it. It teaches; oh it teaches. It might be hard to find but about a decade ago some company republished many of Joan's works. They are worth tracking down.
Ego is the false self that doesn't let 'the presence' (universal intelligence) shine through.
Ego is a screen made of mental conditioning (thoughts and emotions).
Ego was a necessary stage in the evolution of the consciousness, but to take the next step towards conscious evolution and ensure our survival, we must recognize and dissolve the ego.
1. Ego - you see yourself as being as being a particular mind and body - eg. I am the soldier, I am the girl in the wheelchair, I am the mother, I am the gardener, I am the African, I am the person with certain reactions and emotions ....
2. Our body is not us - Suffering comes when we seek fulfillment in the fleeting world.
3. Realize deeply that it's all in the mind.
Whether its desire, fear, jealousy, happiness, sadness, pain, stuff you have, your achievements ...
They are all thoughts that are attached to the primitive, primordial 'I' and its other forms.
Ramanan Maharshi said "Mind is maya (illusion)".
4. Realize that you are not your mind/ego.
If you are the 'watcher' or observer of the reactions and emotions, how can you be them?
5. See that mind/ego is an impostor that pretends to be you.
Mind is a wonderful tool, but the problem comes when you seek yourself in it..
This does not mean that all the thoughts are painful or unproductive.
However, we are primarily pointing to certain repetitive, persistent, negative thoughts, reactions and emotions that form the core of ego.
Some thoughts can point you to the spiritual dimension within.
6. Realize that this world is like a playground.
Transcend the Ego created drama and Karmic cycle.
Jesus said "And the peace of God that passes all understanding will guard your hearts and mind".
"The world can change only from within" (Eckhart Tolle).
What we see externally (man-made) is a result of what we thought once.
Every creative idea comes from the realm of consciousness and then is materialized using mind, which is an instrument.
There is a saying in Zen, "All that arises, passes away."
And the miracle is when you are in inner alignment with 'what is', outer circumstances and inner conditions (illness, pain etc.) tend to improve greatly without any doing on your part.
Also, synchronistic chance encounters and favorable events happen more frequently. Its because you are connected to One Consciousness or One life underneath all forms.
If acceptance is not possible then accept that you cannot accept. Else take action or remove yourself from the situation, if possible.
7. Make present moment your best friend.
What is Now? The timeless space of consciousness where all forms (visuals, sounds, taste, touch, words, sensations, people and events) come and go.
Eckhart Tolle suggests that you can observe reincarnation in yourself many times during the day when you identify with a thought.
The moment you associate your identity with the thought, you have forgotten your essential nature as consciousness and have incarnated into a thought form.
Eckhart writes: "The way of the cross is the old way to enlightenment.... Enlightenment consciously chosen means to relinquish your attachment to past and future... How much more time do you think you will need before you are able to say, 'I will create no more pain, no more suffering?"'
1 Feb 2019 — Eckhart Tolle suggests that you can observe reincarnation in yourself many times during the day when you identify with a thought. The moment ...
29 Dec 2006 — Eckhart Tolle writes about making people happy. He writes about spirituality. He says that we should focus on the present moment, the 'now'.
1. How old is your child?Three 2. How often does your child see ghosts/entities?Pretty much all day 3. What type of "being" does your child see?My grandfather who died 13 years ago
4. Where around town will your child most often see these beings?Anywhere
5. Do these beings ever approach your child around town?I believe he is always there 6. At what age did your child being seeing ghosts? We noticed it around 9 months Anything else you would like to add?She tells us he keeps her safe
...
Spiritualism is a belief that spirits of the dead have both the ability and the inclination to communicate with the living.
He believed that that certain aspects of living organisms, such as intelligence and morality, cannot be explained in terms of purely materialistic processes.
5.We should practise non-attachment to lots of things. "All the delightful things of the world - sweet sounds, lovely forms, all the pleasant tastes and touches and thoughts - these are all agreed to bring happiness if they are not grasped and possessed.
"But if you regard them merely as pleasures for your own use and satisfaction and do not see them as passing wonders, they will bring suffering."
6. It is not a good idea to 'suppress' our feelings.
Research shows that people who are able to talk about their grief, anger or fear get rid of these negative feelings more quickly.
People who are not able to talk about these feelings are more likely to suffer ill health, mental or physical.
Some people get angry when there is a long queue at the airport.
Some people learn not to get angry.
They are not supressing their anger; they just don't feel anger.
We see ourselves as separate selves.
Our body feels the pleasures and pains of life.
Imagine switching out of the SELF mode into the NON-SELF mode.
In the NON-SELF mode there is no grasping of pain or pleasure.
But this is difficult for our minds to imagine, just as 'infinity' is difficult to imagine.
Some people write about the dangers of talking about the Oneness of everything.
"Holding to both the oneness and multiplicity of existence takes greater spiritual maturity...
"It requires being present with the moment with all it's paradox and radicalness.
"Experiencing both the bliss and sorrow of existence takes greater spiritual maturity...
"It requires us to be present to the entire situation of existence, our own and all others.
"In terms of our tradition, we describe this as the dance between emptiness and form and our path as the willingness to experience both and their mutuality.
"The main emphasis of our path is to show up wakefully to the play of emptiness and form..."
Some people have suggested that only one 'entity' has real free will.
And only that one 'entity' is good.
That one person is 'God'.
Or the Tao, or the Force, or the Holy Spirit, or the divine...
Paradoxically, it may be that if we give up our supposed 'free will', we can then follow the will of 'God' (or go with the flow, tune into the Tao, realise that we are part of 'God') and live happily ever after.
Some Taoists would argue that every 'thing' and every 'action' is a mixture of 'good' and 'evil'.
"Taoists believe that nature is a continual balance between yin and yang, and that any attempt to go toward one extreme or the other will be ineffective, self-defeating, and short-lived."
The Mohist philosophers in China believed that the purpose of life was universal, impartial love.
Mohism promoted a philosophy of impartial caring - a person should care equally for all other individuals, regardless of their actual relationship to him or her.[48]
"We can test the problem with my most perfect identical twin: myself!
"Trying to remember the most important decisions I took in my life, I ask myself what I would have done if I had had the possibility to relive again any of the decisive moments of my life - with the same imperfect knowledge and with the same external constraints I had.
"The results of analyzing my perfect twin’s behaviour are, in my opinion, absolutely clarifying: reliving my life would have rendered a life identical to the one I actually lived.
"I can distinguish between two types of events as determinants of every minute fact that occurred in my life.
"Some were the result of conscious decisions, in many cases taken as the result of an evaluation of pros and cons (always with incomplete knowledge of the real situation).
"As it is impossible for me to take stupid decisions (the stupidity defined by myself), I was forced to decide in a determined way, searching the best results.
"In other cases my behaviour was the result of random and/or uncontrolled external factors. In the first case I would repeat my action; in the second, my response would be forced.
"However, if the external random factors would be the same, I also would repeat my action
"Ruben Rial Planas shows in his 'twin analysis' that he has made two types of decisions in his life:
"Those which were conscious, determined decisions.
"And the others 'the result of random and/or uncontrolled external factors'.
"To my astonishment he concludes: 'In either case I am not free', although he just made a brilliant analysis of the really free decisions: the conscious determined ones."
We choose; we have free will.
"Ultimate reality is consciousness."
According to Amit Goswami, a theoretical nuclear physicist:
"Consciousness is the ground of all being... Our free will is real...
"Reality is not two things - God and the world - but one thing, consciousness."
The problem of evil can perhaps be explained by looking at the equation 0 = +X -X.
When there are created 'things', we get dualism.
In other words, when we have 'hot' we also have 'cold'.
When we have 'good' we also have 'bad'.
We could perhaps see 'God' or the 'Ulimate Reality' as being '0', and the world as being +X -X.
Or we can see 'Reality' as being '0' which can be +X -X.
"The mystics of all the great traditions agree that all distinctions are imaginary and that the Ultimate Nature of Reality is non-dual."
The Taoists would argue that there is always Yin and Yang.
There is only a problem if there is a lack of balance.
Of course the mystics would also say that Ultimate Reality is much more complicated than we normally imagine, and that Ultimate Reality cannot be described in words.
Dr. Ian Stevenson:
"Twins in Sri Lanka.
"We did testing that showed they were identical, yet they were markedly different in their behaviors and physical appearance.
"One twin began to talk about a previous life as a Sinhalese insurgent, said he was shot by police in April 1971. Anyway, his family laughed at him, so he shut up and nothing could be verified about what he said.
"The older twin talked copiously about the previous life of a young schoolboy. He made several specific statements that ultimately checked out. He said he lived in a place called Balapitiya and traveled by train to a school in another town called Ambalangoda. He made comparisons between the families' property.
"He referred to an aunt, by name, who had cooked chilies for him.
"Perhaps the most astonishing thing was that when the two families met, the boy pointed to some [writing] in a wall that turned out to be the name of the deceased boy he was remembering. The subject said he had made that when the cement was wet. No one in the deceased boy's family had noticed it before."
Ros Barber's new novel Devotion is about God and parallel universes.
Finlay Logan's daughter has died, in a parachute accident.
And Finlay Logan, who is a psychologist, is assessing the sanity of April Smith, a Christian fundamentalist who has blown up a bus.
Finlay says: "There is no fucking God. Because it simply wasn't possible that God the Father would smear your twenty-one-year-old daughter across a field in the Surrey Hills."
Finlay meets Gabrielle Salmon.
Gabrielle Salmon is a scientist who studies consciousness.
She claims that she can help people to connect to God, and thus find peace.
She has managed to reproduce Religious, Spiritual and Mystical Experiences (RSMEs).
Author Ros Barber now presents two parallel universes for Finlay.
Finlay can choose.
We should note that the scientists now tell us that this is possible.
According to the scientists, when you come a cross a 'particle' it does not have a 'fixed state' - until your mind decides what its 'fixed state' will be.
In other words, if you come across Mr Schrödinger's cat lying very still on the grass, the cat is neither dead nor alive - until your mind decides what its 'fixed state' will be.
Let us imagine that you have a very strong feeling that the cat will be alive and well next year.
Christians believe that things go better when you tune into the Holy Spirit.
The Taoists would call the Holy Spirit the Tao.
When you are tuned in, the cat is not dead.
Some Taoists and Christians and others believe that bliss can be achieved when:
1. You believe that, when tuned in, life works out for the best.
2. You are compassionate
3. You are moderate (Avoid extremes)
4. You are humble (The selfish ego is switched off)
5. Everything is in balance
6. Being tuned into the Holy Spirit or the Tao or whatever you want to call it, you go with the flow.
(You are not battling against the Holy Spirit or Tau)
7. You avoid the use of force; you avoid pitting your will against the universe.
Eventually the cat will die, but it will continue in the Spirit.
Spirit and body?
"It stretches our own humanity to love a child who is less than perfect... And that is an important lesson for us.'" (Dr. Frank Oski) Christians refer to both 'spirit' and 'body'.[4]
There is a belief that spirits inhabit and animate beings.
The body is like a computer.
The spirit is like the person who operates the computer.
The New testament refers to evil spirits. Luke 11:2 "When the unclean spirit goes out of a man, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, and not finding any, it says, 'I will return to my house from which I came.'"
Mark 16:9 "He first appeared to Mary Magdalene, from whom He had cast out seven demons."
How might a spirit achieve bliss?
Lao Tzu taught that we should eliminate all that is dark and negative in ourselves.
