He worked out that, in order to be happy, we need to try to understand how the brain takes in and processes joy and sadness.
After the sudden death of his son, Ali (a routine appendectomy in Dubai), Mo and his family turned to his equation for happiness - and it saved them from despair.
CHAPTER 1: SETTING UP THE EQUATION
Make your own list of things that make you happy
Unhappiness is when your reality does not match your hopes and expectations.
Happiness starts with a conscious choice
CHAPTER 2
Fun removes pain.
Switch off the excessive thinking that overwhelms our brains.
With no thoughts, we rerun to our default, childlike state: happiness
CHAPTER 3
You are not your thoughts.
Those thoughts are there to serve you.
The easiest way to become happy is just to be happy.
Remove the unhappy thought, replace it with a happy one, and let the rest take care of itself.
CHAPTER 4
Like a Russian doll, you need to remove the layers one by one, trying to distinguish the real you from the roles you’ve assumed over the years until you find your pure self.
As much as you might think so, you are not the star of the movie.
Most of what happens around you isn’t about you at all.
There are infinite numbers of other movies, you were just a supporting actor.
CHAPTER 5
Be a seeker of the truth, always ready to admit being wrong in order to continue the quest.
CHAPTER 6
Happy emotions are mostly anchored in the present moment.
Whatever you’re upset about is rooted in a past you cannot change or a future that may turn out to be completely different from what you expect.
CHAPTER 7
With so many things (apparently) out of our control the two things in our control are our actions and our attitude.
CHAPTER 8
Fear is an illusion.
Pain is just a thought, and your brain can ignore it.
CHAPTER 9
The evidence shows that most of us tend to be negative most of the time.
CHAPTER 10
Practice awareness and noticing things around you in your life.
While doing an activity, put your full attention and awareness into that activity.
CHAPTER 11
Try reframing ambition so that the focus is on the goal of becoming a better person regardless of how you compare to others
CHAPTER 12
Relationships suffer because they are built on conditional love in an ever-changing world.
There’s no happiness without love. True love delivers lasting joy.
The more love you give, the more you get back.
The Law of Conservation or Multiplication of Love: Love never goes to waste.
The more you give it away, the more loved you will feel
Even the most annoying, seemingly hateful people you meet, when you see behind the egos, fears and thought-obsessed behaviors, you will find peaceful children who just want to be loved and appreciated.
Once loved, most of them drop the masks and turn real.
Love yourself.
Jott down everything about you that’s positive or admirable.
CHAPTER 13
The physical self is an illusion.
Life is not the body that is subject to the limitations of space-time.
The real you is the observer, not the physical form that represents you. That is what life really is
Everything we have will be left behind so why do we focus so much on our possessions?
Nothing is really yours, and so nothing can be lost.
Letting go and allowing things to leave from your life allows for space and new things to come in.
Life is like a game in which the difficulty makes it fun, whereas easy would make it boring.
Life is similar to a game in that we enter this level through a portal called birth and then leave it through death where we enter the next level.
Death is just a portal to another life, and we never really die just our physical form.
CHAPTER 14
There is no scientific way to prove something does not exist.
Ultimately the math is clear, nothing is random. We’re all a part of a grand design
The designer doesn’t run the show, his equations do.
1. The easy going liberal Moslems who see Muhammad as a decent person who simply wanted people to worship God rather than idols, and, who wanted to protect women during a time of rape and murder.
2. The mad, mind-controlled Islamists who have become tools of the CIA and its friends.
Muhammad (Mohamed) is supposed to have lived from 570 to 632 AD.
"There is no mention of Muhammad anywhere in stones, script, monuments, or other sources from the Middle East during his actual lifetime."
The Arab Emperor from 685 - 705AD, Abd al Malik, wanted a religion for his growing empire.
He apparently had a religion invented and it was called 'Islam'.
This is Afghanistan before President Carter put the Islamists into power. The CIA controls most of the Islamists. Militant Islam has become a tool of the CIA and Mossad. Only the stupidest (or most enslaved) Moslem women cover their faces.
The official story is that Muhammad died in 632 AD.
In 661 AD, Muawiyah I became the leader of the Arab Empire.
No mention of Muhammad or Islam can be found in any of Muawiyah's inscriptions, coins, or documents.
This is Afghanistan before the CIA put the Islamists into power.
Under the reign of the Arab Emperor Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan, Mecca may have been erroneously portrayed as Muhammad's home, in order to provide Islam with Arabian origins.
Abd al Malik ibn Marwan, the Arab Emperor from 685 - 705AD, may have been the inventor of the warlike form of Islam.
Muhammad only fell out with the Jews when they refused to accept him as their prophet.
Professor Fred Donner has written:
"We have to admit collectively that we simply do not know some very basic things about the Koran - things so basic that the knowledge of them is usually taken for granted by scholars dealing with other texts.
"They include such questions as: How did the Qur'an originate? Where did it come from, and when did it first appear? How was it first written? In what kind of language was - is - it written?"
According to the official story, Muhammad was born into the the Quraysh clan. The Quraysh were the guardians of the Kaaba within the town of Mecca and were the dominant tribe of Mecca. The Kaaba was an important pagan shrine. It brought revenues to Mecca because of the multitude of pilgrims that it attracted.
Tom Holland does not see the Koran as History.
Holland says: "I think there's a degree to which Muslims, far more than Christians, have felt that the foundation myths of their religion are somehow historical fact, and it seems to me that they’re clearly not. There must be a bedrock of fact, but it is more sacred history than it is history....
"There’s a sense in which I think as Islam evolves and as, let’s say, Muslims start to realize that they are in competition with Jews and Christians, they need to have their Prophet have a revelation from an angel..."
...
Holland says: "The horror of the Near East in the seventh century beggers description - it's a place ravaged by plague, by war, by gangs, by factionalism and of course in such a world women are objects to be stolen and plundered and abused.
"A lot of the things about Islam which seem retrogressive to us now at the time must have been an absolute blessing to women.
"One of the reasons why it's specified that a man can have more than one wife is precisely so women will have a protector."
Islam in Spain.
"The requirements to keep themselves covered, which seems to us so sexist, actually in a world where a woman’s flesh is a commodity, is something incredibly precious. "So I think that looking at it in that light you see, ethically and morally, just how much better the world is for these revolutions. "And so it’s so tempting to buy into the notion that everything was great before these miserable Christians with their grey breath and these Muslims with their stern repellent warrior king came along, but I have absolutely no doubt that I’d rather be living in a monotheistic world than a premonotheistic world."
Ibn Ishaq wrote a biography of Muhammad some 120 to 130 years after Muhammad's death.
The hadith collections date two to three hundred years after the death of Muhammad.
(We have read the Koran and we have lived in a Moslem country.)
Joseph Smith
Muhammad apparently said that God had spoken to him through the angel Gabriel.
Muhammad is a bit like Joseph Smith, the founder of the Mormon branch of Christianity.
Joseph Smith claimed that he was spoken to by an angel who directed him to a buried book of golden plates inscribed with a Judeo-Christian history of an ancient American civilization.
Mohamed's closest friend was Zaid, his 15-year-old male slave.
Mohamed's first wife was Khadija. She was was aged forty at the time of their marriage and 'well past her youth'.
Mohamed was about fifteen years younger.
Handsome fifteen year old Zaid was the wedding gift given by Khadija to Mohamed.
Mohamed and Zaid became very close friends.
Zaid's family found their son and tried to rescue him.
Zaid told his family that he wanted to stay with Mohamed. Zaid said: "I would not choose any man in preference to Mohamed. He is to me both a father and a mother."
Mohamed said: "Zaid is my heir and I am his."
Muhammad's youngest wife Aisha believed that if Zaid had not died, Mohamed would have made Zaid his successor.
Later in his life, Mohamed spent a lot of time with Zaid's son, Usama ibn Zaid.
Ali, one of the members of Mohammed's family reportedly had an affair with Mohammed.
A group of people from Mecca plotted to kill Mohamed.
When the murderers burst into Mohamed's room they found Mohamed's 23 year old cousin, Ali, lying on Mohamed's bed.
Mohamed had escaped.
Ali was a handsome youth.
Mohamed said that "Looking upon Ali is worship," and that "Ali would appear (even) to the dwellers of paradise as a morning star."
One historian wrote of Mohamed: "He often made (Ali) sleep by his side, and Ali enjoyed the warmth of Muhammad's body and inhaled the holy fragrance of his breath."
Mohamed, reportedly, said: 'Ali and I, fourteen thousand years before the creation of mankind, were one light. When Allah created Adam, he split this light into two, one of which I am and the other is Ali." (Salman)
Egyptian preacher Huwaini and Kuwaiti political activist Mutairi call for the reinstitution of sex-slavery. Moslems tend to prefer boys to girls?
In 'The Wounded Heart', an old Peshtun song, we read:
"There is a boy across the river With a bottom like a peach! But alas! I cannot swim!"
Saadi (Sheikh Musharrif ad-Din Saadi,1184 - 1291) is Persia's greatest poet.
Some verse from Saadi's Bûstân:
A certain lad some days ago my heart did steal away, And my affection for him is such that I no longer can endure; Yet he's not once enquired of me with pleasant disposition: See, then, what I must make my soul to suffer for his disdainful ways?
lines 1953-54
Though you may kiss his feet, he'll give you no regard: Though you be dust before him, no gratitude he'll show you. Empty your head of brains, of coins your hands If you would set your mind on other people's children
lines 3264-65
The Western security services reportedly recruit Moslems for ISIS, for child abuse rings and for false flag ops.
"Competing - successfully - with the women of the harem for the affection of the Ottoman noble were young males in various functions, chief among whom were the entertainers, known as köçeks.
"They traveled in troupes and were skilled in music, dancing, and erotic pleasures.
"The average troupe - named after its leader - would have about thirty dancers, though some had several hundred.
"When not on stage, köçeks would work in coffee-houses and taverns, where they would serve drinks, flirt, and be available for trysts with the clientele.
Typical Turk?
"The Köçeks were highly sought by all nobles of all ranks, including the Sultan.
"Köçeks wore elegant and gaudy costumes, had long curly hair, and were immortalized in books discussing their qualities and ranking them by nationality, such as the Huban-nameh of Enderunlu Fazil."
Fifteenth century Cairo had a trade in young boys.
The historian Max Rodenbeck notes that while a serving maid might fetch ten dinars, a handsome boy might sell for 30,000.
The Malmuk rulers favoured Tartar, Circassian and Greek youths.
Moslem woman.
The wealthier women of Cairo were so concerned by this fashion among their husbands for youths and young men, that they took to dressing up in men's attire.
Al-Marqrizi explained that "the love of boys spread among the nobles so that their women tried to make themselves look like boys in the hope of capturing the hearts of their menfolk."
Typical Moslems?
Reportedly, the homosexuality of Saladin, Sultan of Egypt and Syria, was revealed in several episodes of the Arabian Nights.
Saladin (1138-93) was the Egyptian ruler who united the Arab World against the Crusades and recaptured Jerusalem in 1187.
Richard The Lion Heart, had a secret passion for Saladin.
Richard also shared a bed with Philip II of France.
According to Gerald, the Archdeacon of Wales, they were inseparable lovers recalling that the English king "so honored Philip that by day they ate at one table, off one dish, and at night they slept in one bed. And the king of France loved him as his own soul."
Saladin's brother Al Adel was reported to be very close to Richard.
Saladin himself probably had a relationship with the Turkish eunuch Karakush, a slave.
Karakush was promoted and was responsible for overseeing the construction of Cairo's citadel.
Then Saladin appointed him joint emir (with a Kurd called Mashtub) of Acre on the coast of Palestine and in charge of the city's defense against the Crusaders.
Moslem girls
The story of Suleiman's attachment to his vizier Ibrahim (allegedly his lover) is as follows:
"Suleyman, great as he was, shared his greatness with a second mind, to which his reign owed much of its brilliance.
"The Grand Vezir Ibrahim was the counterpart of the Grand Monarch Suleyman.
"He was the son of a sailor at Parga, and had been captured by corsairs, by whom he was sold to be the slave of a widow at Magnesia.
"Here he passed into the hands of the young prince Suleyman, then Governor of Magnesia, and soon his extraordinary talents and address brought him promotion....
"From being Grand Falconer on the accession of Suleyman, he rose to be first minister and almost co-Sultan in 1523.
The top Moslems love boys?
"Ibrahim was the object of the Sultan's tender regard: an emperor knows better than most men how solitary is life without friendship and love, and Suleyman loved this man more than a brother.
"Ibrahim was not only a friend, he was an entertaining and instructive companion.
"He read Persian, Greek and Italian; he knew how to open unknown worlds to the Sultan's mind, and Sulevman drank in his Vezir's wisdom with assiduity.
"They lived together: their meals were shared in common; even their beds were in the same room.
"The Sultan gave his sister in marriage to the sailor's son, and Ibrahim was at the summit of power."

The original Kaaba was at some point dedicated to Hubal, a Nabatean deity, and contained 360 idols. According to Ibn Ishaq, an early biographer of Muhammad, the Ka'aba was itself previously addressed as a female deity.[18]Circumambulation was often performed naked by male pilgrims,[19] and linked to ancient fertility rites.[20]
When the prophet Muhammad was born, the people of Saudi Arabia were a mixture of Jews, Christians and idol-worshippers.
Muhammad, as a merchant, came into contact with many Jewish merchants and landowners.
Muhammad decided to reject idol-worship and adopt the Jewish religion.
Safiyah, one of Muhammad's Jewish wives.
Two of Prophet Muhammad's wives were Jewish.
"Muhammad clearly saw himself as part of the Jewish tradition. …
"Islam was a radical call back to the basic values of the Torah and even talmudic stories."
Muhammad only fell out with the Jews when they refused to accept him as their prophet.
