THE PROBLEM OF EVIL - ECKHART TOLLE

One night, when he was 29, Eckhart Tolle thought -

There must be two of me: the mortal self and the immortal 'observer' of the self.

"Maybe," Tolle thought, "only one of them, the observer, is real."

"Suddenly, there was no more fear."

According to Colin Cleary, for those who are enlightened life can be 'like an endless orgasm'.

...

What is real?

This man is able to switch off pain and even injury.

According to Collin Cleary -

"If everyone 'awakens,' then all conflicts and history and bodily problems will disappear or no longer matter?"

Eckhart Tolle by Collin Cleary

Collin Cleary writes -

"This is a Western misunderstanding of what Tradition teaches about spiritual realization.

"Westerners will invariably conclude that . . . we should, upon achieving this realization, behave as if there is no difference between thief and slayer ... and no difference between 'good' and 'evil.'"

Commentary on the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad

"What Indian mysticism teaches is something subtle.

Commentary on the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad

Dr. Len (right). Hawaiian psychologist Dr. Hew Len reportedly "healed an entire hospital of mentally ill criminals without ever having interviewed a single patient. He focused on healing himself and, miraculously, it ended up transforming an entire hospital of both staff and patients!" "Zero Limits" Book Review by Scott Mowry.

According to Collin Cleary -

"If a man has achieved the 'unitive state' does that mean that he can now lie down with cobras and expect not to be harmed?

"The “differentiated” type of man lives in two worlds, while he remains alive. As the text states, 'The human being has two states of consciousness: one in this world, and the other in the next.'"

Commentary on the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad

Dr. Hew Len was taught by Morrnah Simeonawhose version of hoʻoponopono was influenced by her Christian beliefs.

I think the Parable of Turning The Water Into Wine is like Dr Len's experience. Jesus chilled out an entire Jewish (?) wedding by the force of his personality. He was able to do this because he was so spiritually well. Made everyone feel like they'd had a drink. Must've had a lovely sense of humour. Took the edge off things. I've encountered people with lesser but similar powers. They create a calming ambience among troubled souls. Nurses in a hospice. Old timers in 12 Step groups. My daughter's old Irish form teacher. Christ like beings. Jesus walks the streets unnoticed. Happy Easter everyone.

The Problem of Eckhart Tolle at Counter Currents by Colllin Cleary

(jr comment February 26, 2020 at 7:36 am)

Comments from someone who knows him from his early days prior to the Oprah launch:

(…) Here it is: My old friend has become obsessed with his own success and I need to say, monstrously so. He has shown a side to me that scares me. He is determined to get as far up the mountain (exceeding his competitors like Deepak Chopra, Gary Zukov, all those other souls out there that crank out these books!) as he can go. I am afraid for him and a little afraid of him. He is no longer recognizable to me. Some say this is not unusual for these “guru” types. That sooner or later, things come tumbling down, thanks to a lot of hubris and just ego-overkill. That’s right. Ego-overkill. Tolle–and I noticed this many years ago–we were out one day and ended up walking into a bookstore where Tolle knew the guy behind the counter–I busied myself browsing the books, but Tolle came off with an arrogance and know-it-all-ness that surprised me. I had never seen this side of him before–but I blew it off and didn’t give it a lot of thought as he rarely acted this way with me. ( I am a woman, by the way.). Now it seems Tolle is all ego. And yes, it is horrendously ironic how he has made the ego anathema, when he has become an ego-maniac himself. I am sad to see it all unfold the way it has. (…)

Weigh the `spiritual teachers´. Da Free John had a good term for it: Vedanta Talking School, yet he himself was exposed too as not walking the walk, like Mooji etc. etc. :

The global rollout of the breathtaking WMD 5 G 60 Ghz that has the innate potential to destroy all natural life forms on earth and bring about a AI paradise on earth is to most of them maya, illusion as long as they have an audience that fills their pockets and is on the same wavelength. They will most probably not even mention it. Blind leading the blind....
