There is a whole range of strategies. There is a framework called the Behaviour Change Wheel framework, which has identified nine very high-level strategies that one can use, such as persuasion and incentivisation, and seven broader policies that can underpin those. Which you select depends on your analysis of behaviour in this situation, as I outlined it, and what the main influences are that can be used to change the behaviour.
On the question of different groups, you mentioned age. We have good data. For example, while compliance has been generally very high, certainly up until May, the group that has been most challenged in adhering to the lockdown guidance has been younger people, especially younger men. We know that tailoring information to the groups we want to change or to adhere to certain behaviours is much more effective than blanket advice, messaging or whatever.
This could have been done much more. We have known for many weeks, longer probably—a couple of months—that it is the younger groups, such as those in their late teens and early 20s especially, that are less compliant. For those groups, messages that come from sources they identify with, such as leading well-known sportspeople, musicians, film celebrities, et cetera, are very likely to have much more of an impact on them than the 5 o’clock Government press communications and other types of general written communication that we have seen.
Moving forward, not only for young people but for other sections of the community who are struggling to adhere, we could do much more with sophisticated tailoring of communications.
If one looks at Bill Gates enough, he will find him - hinting at something big coming - from years ago.
If one asks the right people, like Joseph Tritto, he will be taught about Chimera Viruses and how they did COVID in a lab.

Opinion on Astra Zenica? My Aussie former Cambridge Uni Prof. friend, Bruce, and his family have had the AZ jab. No side effect at all. Zero. He was paid 2 million pounds by the US DoD for his one shot for FIVE different bio-weapons used in the USA. He knows his stuff. After hearing this today I rang my local Drs to book an appointment for a jab of AZ. They didn't know when they could get some. Rang another surgery. They decided to not put in 'expression of interest'. The Drs don't get it unless they ASK for it. So I rang the Dept. of Health gave my age, state of health etc. He said I would be a 2A/B - down the list. So I won't be able to get a shot until maybe late March. Maybe. You don't have to go on and on about anti vax stuff. In Australia it will be RARE to even get one.

In November 2020 Israeli Health Ministry data revealed that Israel detected 400 cases coronavirus under the age of two. By February 2021, that number grew to 5,800. We are dealing with a clear rise of about 1300%, impressive indeed. Israeli Ynet reports that this kind of rise in numbers of new-born Covid-19 morbidity are reported around the world, I investigated it but didn’t manage to find any confirmation that this is indeed the case. In Britain, for instance, all I find is reports on a ‘Covid-19 baby boom’ and some concerns regarding a rise in child obesity. In fact, nobody reports on a rise of 1300% in new-born Covid-19 except Israel.

In large part because natural immunity from prior infection is far more common than can be measured by testing. Testing has been capturing only from 10% to 25% of infections, depending on when during the pandemic someone got the virus. Applying a time-weighted case capture average of 1 in 6.5 to the cumulative 28 million confirmed cases would mean about 55% of Americans have natural immunity.
There is reason to think the country is racing toward an extremely low level of infection. As more people have been infected, most of whom have mild or no symptoms, there are fewer Americans left to be infected. At the current trajectory, I expect Covid will be mostly gone by April, allowing Americans to resume normal life.
Antibody studies almost certainly underestimate natural immunity. Antibody testing doesn’t capture antigen-specific T-cells, which develop “memory” once they are activated by the virus. Survivors of the 1918 Spanish flu were found in 2008—90 years later—to have memory cells still able to produce neutralizing antibodies.
