CHATHAM HOUSE - OPPOSED TO CONSERVATIVES

Jim O'Neill

Terence James O'Neill, Baron O'Neill of Gatley, a former chairman of Goldman Sachs Asset Management, and a former UK Conservative government minister, is a British economist.

O'Neil is chair of the spooky Chatham House think-tank (Like the USA's Council on Foreign Relations).

O'Neill thinks that, in some respects, a Labour government would be better than the current Conservative government.

O'Neill is opposed to Brexit.

Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn is prepared to back a second Brexit vote

O'Neill writes at the ft :-

"I am not overly concerned by some aspects of a prospective Jeremy Corbyn (UK Labour) administration.

"In at least six policy areas, which Mr Corbyn and his shadow chancellor John McDonnell are treating as priorities, businesses and the Conservative government need to catch up."

O'Neil worries that the current Conservative government "has virtually no time for ... devolving powers and responsibilities to the urban regions.

"The Northern Powerhouse and Midlands Engine schemes now receive almost no attention."

O'Neill worries about Britain's productivity crisis.

Since the 2008 financial crisis, Britain has seen a 15-20% decline in GDP - "stemming from weaker productivity."

O'Neill writes:

"Labour's readiness to explore new ways of shaking up the status quo is admirable."

O'Neill points out that lower corporation tax has not magically boosted investment spending.

O'Neill writes: "we should stop cutting corporation tax to increase profits with little societal gain."

According to O'Neill, "it was once assumed that, when unemployment fell below a certain level, wage growth would accelerate.

"It has not happened."

...

O'Neill worries about chief executives being paid large sums of money, while their companies are failing to make Britain a better place.

O'Neill worries about the privately run railways and utilities being badly managed.

O'Neill writes: "The Labour party has stepped into the vacuum left by the Conservative government and appears to be offering the radical change that people seek."

DON'T BE CONNED BY THE RIGHT-WING

The rich are getting richer.

40 years of US Economic Policy in One Chart - Mike Whitney - CounterPunch

The US elite have become richer by holding down wages for everyone, apart from themselves.

The graph shows the moment in time when the USA became more feudal and became more of a police state.

In the 1970's the Robber Baron elite reduced the taxes they paid, rolled back regulations, broke up the unions, installed their own corrupt politicians, pushed through trade agreements that pitted US workers against low-paid workers in the developing world...

Mike Whitney - CounterPunch

What we now have is Fascism - ownership of the Government by the Robber Barons.

The Fascist leaders manage to stay in power by carrying out acts of terrorism, which are then blamed on innocent patsies.

The population is persuaded that it must have a tough secretly-right-wing militarist government to protect it.

It is the secretly fascist political parties that like to bring in immigrants.

It is the secretly fascist political parties which promote Islamism.

What is to be done?

We need tough regulation of the banks, and the break up of the larger banks.

We need greatly increased taxes on the rich, and rich companies like Google.

We need to be reminded that around half of the super-rich in the USA are Jews, like Sheldon Adelson and various friends of Jeffrey Epstein.

We need to break up the large Jewish controlled media organisations, which spew out lies on behalf of the elite.

We need to realise that at the top of the pyramid of power, the rich Jews, rich Moslems, rich Christians, rich Hindus etc. are all in alliance. They all share the same Feudal or Fascist philosophy.

TRUTH, LIES, DIANA.

We need strong trade unions, which have not been infiltrated by agents of the rich elite.

We need to kick out 90% of the current politicians.

We need to cancel trade agreements that lead to low wages.

We need to awaken people to how they are being mind controlled by false-flag terrorism.

We need to close down the Narco-military-industrial-complex and the child abuse rings run by the security services.

We need to avoid extremes; we need a mix of capitalism and socialism.

ENGLAND IS DOOMED

Riots in England, but not in Scotland.

The London government faces the problems of  a trade deficit, a housing bubble and anaemic productivity growth.

UK economy: Smooth sailing? - Financial Times 18 June 2014.

Riots in England, but not in Scotland.

Scotland, on the other hand, has a trade surplus, no housing bubble and good productivity growth, especially in the oil industry.

There was a 25 per cent real depreciation of sterling in 2007-08.

Yet the UK's current account deficit deteriorated to end 2013 at 5.4 per cent of gross domestic product, one of the largest in British history.

UK economy: Smooth sailing? - Financial Times 18 June 2014.

(Scotland has a current account surplus. Scotland exports more than it imports)

In England, there has been the collapse in productivity growth.

UK economy: Smooth sailing? - Financial Times 18 June 2014.

England  is not good at innovation and efficiency.

The high-productivity sectors include: oil extraction (Scotland's North Sea oil) and utilities (including Scotland's alternative energy sector).

UK economy: Smooth sailing? - Financial Times 18 June 2014.

It is the Scots who have invented most things.

 The UK today

England does do well in the sectors of prostitution, narcotics and smuggling.

(In 1987, Italy started taking account of its 'shadow economy' when it calculated its GDP. As a result, Italy's economy grew by 18% overnight. National accounts: Sex, drugs and GDP )

UK economy: Smooth sailing? - Financial Times 18 June 2014.

Oxfam poster describing England

COMMENT in the Financial Times

"What really matters is the current account deficit. As long as this is negative, Britain is importing capital to blow on consumption...

"Our politicians welcome the Chinese, and this is treated as good news, but as far as I can tell, most of the discussions seem to concern negotiations to sell them even more of our national wealth."

Remember that we are about to see the End of ENGLAND, according to MoneyWeek.

Angus Tulloch is one of the UK's top fund managers.

He supports the idea of an independent Scotland.

He points out:

1. A higher percentage of people in Scotland go on to higher education than in the wider UK.

2. Scotland has very strong assets, including energy.

3. The London government is too 'southeast-centric'.
