Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto said he worked with Department of Defense officials, Public Safety Director Wendell Hissrich and police Chief Scott Schubert.
'Our public safety director, our chief of police and a number of public safety officials have been working directly with the Department of Defense for the past several months...' Peduto said.
Peduto said the exercises include all military branches and city police, who are being trained in 'all sorts of stuff.' SWAT officers are involved.

Bill Peduto, mayor of Pittsburgh, told reporters four people were killed at the Tree of Life synagogue. Local media reported the toll at eight.

"Officers who searched Hassan's Sunbury (London) foster home found traces of the explosive in the

"Stephen Griffiths, 28, who lives opposite the 'lovely couple', said the police visited 'multiple times over the span of about a month - a few times a week', and believes their house may have been under surveillance.
He said: 'They started off as normally dressed cops, then moved up in the police ranks, wearing black uniforms in an undercover car. They used to speak to Penny and Ron on the doorstep, but the last couple of times they went in the house.

5. ALLEGEDLY, Ahmed Hassan got off the tube train at Putney Bridge station and took a bus.
When his bus drove past Parsons Green station, 'he glanced out of the window before removing the memory card from his mobile phone, chewing it and stuffing it down the side of the seat.'
Allegedly, Hassan changed his clothes several times and bought a new mobile phone.
He took a series of trains to Richmond, Brighton and finally Ashford in Kent. He was arrested on 16 September 2017 at 7.52am at the Port of Dover. He was carrying £2,320 in cash, it was said.
As a Chief Inspector, Sutherland worked in the London borough of Lambeth, famous for its child abuse rings, which may or may not be used by Mossad to control top people in the UK.
Feltham Young Offenders prison (TW13) is a few streets away from Cavendish Road.
This prison is where Richard Reid and other 'patsies' were alleged to have been mind-controlled.

Ahmed was reported to the counter terrorism authorities months before the attack.
Ahmed was being fostered by a couple, Penny and Ronald Jones, living in Sunbury.
Serena Barber, 47, who has known Penny and Ronald all her life and lives in a property backing on to theirs, said: 'I know about two weeks ago he (Ahmed) was arrested by police at Parsons Green, for what I don't know and returned back to Penny and Ron.'

Ronald Hollier was convicted of child rape and sentenced to seven years' imprisonment in 2006.
He had been a prison officer at Feltham young offender institution, which holds juveniles as well as young adults.

So, who is going to be the new face of London Terror?
Police officers have been searching a property in Thornton Heath after an unnamed 17-year-old boy was arrested in the early hours of 21 September, in connection with the Parsons Green terror attack.
The property in Thornton Heath is used by Lambeth Council.
Tom McCall, who lives behind the Thornton Heath house, said: "A couple of weeks ago there were two police cars outside and some informed officers went inside the house."
The child abuse rings in Lambeth are linked to the child abuse rings in Islington, Jersey, Richmond, Yorkshire and elsewhere.
Top people are involved.
"In the 1990's, senior staff members in Lambeth council were producing pornographic material of a 'sadistic, bestial and paedophile' nature in the basement of the housing department, where they knew they would not be interrupted.
"A female member of staff disclosed how she was subjected to a rape on council premises 'of horrendous proportions' which she was still suffering serious injuries from one month later.
"She described being raped alongside children and animals by senior figures in the council.
"The findings of a report which included rape, assault and posession of indecent images of children, was never formally investigated by the police at the time or made public."
Mahdi Rahimi - a popular 25-year-old Iranian Kurd, also known locally as Bilal Mohammed.
In connection with the Parsons Green attack, of 15 September 2017, the police have arrested Mahdi Rahimi, a 25-year-old, and, two suspects aged 30 and 48, all with addresses in Newport.
'Mahdi Rahimi is a gentle, quiet man... Officers went to his house about a year ago.'
One local Muslim resident claimed that Hahdi Rahimi had recently started receiving visitors in expensive cars from London.
He said: 'He was always very humble, happy to be in the UK. But recently he started to receive visitors from people driving Mercedes and Jeeps, expensive cars with registration plates from London.'

At Parsons Green station, Alex Ojeda-Sierra, 13, witnessed an 'explosion'.
Alex hadn't been at the front of the train where the bomb was.
Alex said: "I dropped my bag and we started running."
"Alex stumbled and fell and felt passengers tread all over his head, chest and stomach as he lay trapped on a stairway."
Alex said: "One man fell on me and my legs bent backwards and my right ankle got twisted. I started screaming that I had no air."
Why did Alex not stay on the platform?
According to Alex's mother, Maria: "Alex said everyone started running so he did, too.
"He said his friend managed to get away but he has a weak ankle from an old injury and had tripped on the stairs.
"Someone fell on top of him, followed by another person. He couldn't breathe and had cracked his head open on the stairs.
"He said he had to be dug out from so many bodies and that it was mayhem."
Removing the evidence of a false flag?
Michael Perry, 29, a medical student who was at Parsons Green, said: "Alex had a massive scrape and bleeding and a contusion on his forehead where he had been knocked forward, as well as gashes on his tummy and side where he had been stepped on."
Alex was later treated at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and is now recovering at home in Morden, South-West London.
When agents of the UK government shot dead the innocent Brazilian Jean Charles de Menezes, in July 2005, the police claimed that they had shot a dangerous terrorist.
Apparently the police wanted the public to believe that they had killed Osman Hussain (aka Hussain Osman or Hamdi Isaac) who was alleged to have placed a fake bomb at Shepherd's Bush tube station in 21 July 2005.(1)
