RIVER PHOENIX AND OTHER 'DEAD' KIDS

River Phoenix's mother was Arlyn Dunetz, a Jewish woman from the Bronx.

His father was John Bottom, an Irish-Spanish man, whose past 'included juvenile homes and a drinking problem'.

It was in 1968 that the 22-year-old Arlyn Dunetz  moved to Los Angeles, where she met the 21-year-old John Bottom.

Arlyn had been married before.

John had been married before, and had a daughter called Trust.

Arlyn and John liked to travel around various hippy communities, and they liked LSD.

In 1970, Arlyn gave birth to River in a log cabin in Oregon.

River Phoenix first had sex at the age of four.

In Colorado, Arlyn and John joined the CIA-linked cult called the Children of God (The Family) which is associated with mind-control and child sexual abuse.

The Children of God are in favour of incest - eg sex between a parent and a child..

John and Arlyn became missionaries for the cult, in Texas, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Venezuela.

They produced several more children.

In Venezuela, Arlyn and John lost faith in the Children of God.

Arlyn said that the cult's leader, David Berg, "sought to attract rich disciples through sex."

Arlyn and John moved to Florida. 

John worked as a gardener, but had to give up his job when he injured his back.

River Phoenix never went to school.

River Phoenix, aged 9, and his sibling, aged 7, performed in talent contests.

Encouraged by an executive of Paramount, the family returned to California.

Arlyn got a job as a secretary at NBC.

River Phoenix, aged 10, did TV commercials for Ocean Spray, Saks and Mitsubishi.

He played guitar on the TV series Fantasy.

He appeared in 22 episodes of CBS's Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.

In 1985, he appeared in his first cinema film, a science-fiction adventure called Explorers.

He got to know Corey Feldman.

In 1985, aged 15, River starred in the 'hit' film Stand By Me. 

River said that, during the making of this film, he lost his virginity.

Peter Weir, the director of Mosquito Coast, observed the close relationship between River Phoenix and his father, John.

In 1988, the Phoenix family moved to Gainesville in Florida.

He also 'got involved in heroin'.

In 1993, aged 23, River Phoenix 'died of an overdose'.

In 1999, the Children of God (Family International) published an interview with River Phoenix from beyond the grave.

[Q:] You know how everyone was suspecting you and Keanu of being gay. Was it true?

Keanu and I were like close brothers. We did love each other, but not in that way...

We made the mistake of making that movie, My Own Private Idaho. 

It was very degrading, degenerate... we were telling them that it's okay to be gay.

Well, it's not okay! - It's filthy!...

[Q:] I was wondering if you ever thought back to when you were younger, and in the Family. Did you believe anything that people told you about your past?

I was very young when my parents left the Family. It was very confusing for me because they had taught me to love the Lord, and to love Grandpa [David Berg], Papa Lion.—And I did. 

I loved him very much, and everything the Family stood for. 

My sister and I would perform on the streets, singing and playing guitar, and we really enjoyed it. We were very happy. It was beautiful. People loved us and we were very fulfilled.

Then suddenly they uprooted us and went back to the System, back to the "Whore," back to America...

[Q:] If you had a chance to redo it all, would you choose to stay in the Family? [...]

If I had a chance to go back and do it all over, I would stay in the Family, because there is no greater calling on this Earth than to serve the Lord. And there's no greater place to serve the Lord on this Earth than in the Family. So that would be my greatest desire.

CHILDREN OF GOD - THE FAMILY


River Phoenix was brought up as a Christian.

He was part of the Children of God sect.

Many Christian sects are run by the CIA and are used to produce sex slaves.

Faith Berg Fischer the youngest of David Berg’s four children.

Faith Berg "helped oversee teen re-education and discipline at The Family's Heavenly City School Victor Program in Japan, using such techniques as exorcisms, hard labour and strong corporal punishment."

Karen Zerby, who married Berg.

Karen Zerby has claimed that she was among Jesus's favourite lovers in heaven before she came to earth.

Reportedly, Karen's son Ricky Rodriguez was sexually abused by Zerby and her group and he later killed himself.

David Berg (1919 - 1994) was born in California.

Reportedly, "his maternal forefathers were German Jews."

Like his father, Berg became a minister in the Christian and Missionary Alliance.

Berg was eventually expelled from the organization for alleged sexual misconduct with a church employee.

Berg became the founder and leader of the Children of God, now called The Family International.

Another of Berg's granddaughters, Joyanne Treadwell Berg, spoke on American television about being sexually abused by David Berg.

Berg's adopted son, Ricky Rodriguez, wrote an article on the Web site MovingOn.org in which he describes Berg's deviant sexual activity involving a number of women and children.

In the 1970s and 1980s sexually suggestive photographic depictions of Rodriguez (aka "Davidito") with adult caretakers were spread throughout the group by Berg and Zerby in a child rearing handbook known as "The Story of Davidito".

In January 2005, Ricky Rodriguez murdered one of the female caretakers (also shown in the handbook) before taking his own life several hours later.

Davida Kelley, the daughter of Rodriguez's nanny, Sarah Kelley, accused Berg of molesting her in a June 2005 Rolling Stone article. In the same article, a woman identified as Armendria alleged that David Berg sexually abused her when she was thirteen years old.

"Berg viewed the trend towards a New World Order as setting the stage for the rise of the Antichrist."

David Berg managed his kids’ pop band, Teens for Christ, which traveled throughout the US until winding up in California in 1968.

Berg set up his own congregation, which he called the Children of God.

A colleague of Berg’s, televangelist Fred Jordan, offered Berg use of his 400-acre compound, the Texas Soul Clinic.

Berg began to have 'visions' and saw himself as the reincarnation of the Bible's King David.

He dumped his wife, and took up with his young assistant, Karen Zerby.

The Children of God evolved into a cult of free love.


River Phoenix

In 1973, John, Arlyn and River Phoenix left Texas for South America in order to do missionary work for Berg's Children of God.

River Phoenix starting acting at the age of ten. At the age of 15 he starred in Stand by Me.

On Halloween 1993 River Phoenix dropped dead on the sidewalk of a popular Los Angeles nightclub.

River gives some clues in a November 1991 interview with Joe Dulce of Details magazine.

Dulce: Is there anything you did at an early age that you wished you had waited for?

Phoenix: Yes - make love.

Dulce: How old were you?

Phoenix: Four.

Dulce: With whom? Another four-year old?

Phoenix: Kids. But I’ve blocked it out.
