According to Eckhart Tolle's Teachings -

You are consciousness.

Ego is the false self that doesn't let 'the presence' (universal intelligence) shine through.

Ego is a screen made of mental conditioning (thoughts and emotions).

Ego was a necessary stage in the evolution of the consciousness, but to take the next step towards conscious evolution and ensure our survival, we must recognize and dissolve the ego.

1. Ego - you see yourself as being as being a particular mind and body - eg. I am the soldier, I am the girl in the wheelchair, I am the mother, I am the gardener, I am the African, I am the person with certain reactions and emotions ....

2. Our body is not us - Suffering comes when we seek fulfillment in the fleeting world.

3. Realize deeply that it's all in the mind.

Whether its desire, fear, jealousy, happiness, sadness, pain, stuff you have, your achievements ...

They are all thoughts that are attached to the primitive, primordial 'I' and its other forms.

Ramanan Maharshi said "Mind is maya (illusion)".

4. Realize that you are not your mind/ego.

If you are the 'watcher' or observer of the reactions and emotions, how can you be them?

A large part of suffering and problems arise when you believe emotions are "you".

5. See that mind/ego is an impostor that pretends to be you.

Mind is a wonderful tool, but the problem comes when you seek yourself in it..

This does not mean that all the thoughts are painful or unproductive.

However, we are primarily pointing to certain repetitive, persistent, negative thoughts, reactions and emotions that form the core of ego.

Some thoughts can point you to the spiritual dimension within.

6. Realize that this world is like a playground.

Transcend the Ego created drama and Karmic cycle.

Jesus said "And the peace of God that passes all understanding will guard your hearts and mind".

"The world can change only from within" (Eckhart Tolle).

What we see externally (man-made) is a result of what we thought once.

Every creative idea comes from the realm of consciousness and then is materialized using mind, which is an instrument.

There is a saying in Zen, "All that arises, passes away."

And the miracle is when you are in inner alignment with 'what is', outer circumstances and inner conditions (illness, pain etc.) tend to improve greatly without any doing on your part.

Also, synchronistic chance encounters and favorable events happen more frequently. Its because you are connected to One Consciousness or One life underneath all forms.

If acceptance is not possible then accept that you cannot accept. Else take action or remove yourself from the situation, if possible.

7. Make present moment your best friend.

What is Now? The timeless space of consciousness where all forms (visuals, sounds, taste, touch, words, sensations, people and events) come and go.

Read How to Surrender to the Present Moment to learn more about it.

"Stay at the center of the circle and let everything fall into place" (Tao Te Ching).

Past and future are no more than thoughts you are thinking in the 'Now'.

Forgive yourself and others for being identified with mind/ego.

Jesus's saying "Forgive them. They know not what they do", also applies to yourself.

This doesn't mean you let yourself be attacked or abused.

"Surrender is the simple but profound wisdom of yielding to rather than opposing the flow of life" (Eckhart Tolle in "The Power of Now").

Surrender doesn't mean to yield to illness, but to yield to whatever arises (thoughts, emotions, reactions, pain, pressure in body etc.)

This is the peace of God, that bypasses all understanding.

8. Realize that 'You' are consciousness

But remember, suffering can can become your greatest teacher to enlightenment.

According to a Buddhist saying, "All suffering is illusion."

"The greatest difficulty is the mental resistance to things that arise, and the underlying assumption is that they should not" (Eckhart Tolle).

True intelligence is holistic, formless and unconditioned. It's the stillness within you.

"Can you step back from your own mind and thus understand all things?" (Tao Te Ching).

Be aware of your breath as much as you can. Notice the flow of air, gaps between inhaling and exhaling cycles, the movement of belly, and so on.

Spiritual teacher Eckhart Tolle wants you to feel everything as being miraculous and peaceful.

Eckhart Tolle

Eckhart Tolle - What is Self?

You are the consciousness that perceives things?

Individuality is an illusion created by the mind?

Eckhart Tolle suggests that you can observe reincarnation in yourself many times during the day when you identify with a thought.

The moment you associate your identity with the thought, you have forgotten your essential nature as consciousness and have incarnated into a thought form.

According to Tolle:

(Reincarnation, Karma and Presence)

“Karma, as I see it, is the unconscious conditioning that runs your life.

"Karma is partly collective, and partly personal...

"Your karma is the unconscious identification with these patterns that you have inherited – the conditioned...

"Many times a day, you are re-born into an emotional or mental reaction, into thoughts that arise...

"So if you think the world is full of evil people, you will meet many evil people...

"The only thing that can free you of karma is the arising of Presence.

"As Presence arises, gradually karma diminishes and you will experience a fading out of those patterns."

Eckhart Tolle writes about making people happy.

He writes about spirituality.

He says that we should focus on the present moment, the 'now'.

Consider the Lilies and how they grow; they don't worry about the past or future.

The past and future are only thoughts in the mind. We should not cling on to the 'past'.

By being consciously present in the 'now', we are more likely to enjoy the future.

It is the selfish ego that worries unnecessarily about the past and the future.

'Being in the now' helps bring about:

1. an awareness of things beyond 'the mind'

2. an awareness of the spiritual

3. an awareness of the links between ourselves and all things

4. an awareness of how to overcome pain

5. an awareness of how to deal with the selfish ego and stop worrying about status.

Eckart explains:

1. You are not your thoughts. You are the awareness behind the thoughts.

Awareness of your thoughts without being caught up in them is the first step to freedom.

2. Be aware of your negative thoughts. Free yourself from your negative thoughts. Enjoy your experience of the 'now'.

3. Accept the present moment. Accept any feelings. Don't try to ignore them.

Acceptance does not mean that you cannot take action to improve the situation you are in. Actions you take should arise from deep awareness.

The vast majority of pain in a person's life comes from resistance to what is.

Eckhart Tolle is not aligned with any particular religion or tradition.

Influences on Tolle include the writings of Meister EckhartAdvaita VedantaA Course in Miracles and Zen Buddhism's Lin-chi (Rinzai) school. One of his books also interprets sayings of Jesus from the Bible.

Eckhart writes: "The way of the cross is the old way to enlightenment.... Enlightenment consciously chosen means to relinquish your attachment to past and future... How much more time do you think you will need before you are able to say, 'I will create no more pain, no more suffering?"'

„....I am consciousness. I am the Now. I am.“
„I AM“ seems to be a very important statement.
In Copenhagen there is this historic „round tower“. On the outside of the tower, we can see prominently written in large golden HEBREW letters, „I AM“.
Norman Berdichevsky is explaining:
The Hebrew letters were there to demonstrate that the Kings fidelity was to the "original" word of God in Hebrew rather than through inaccurate translations...
Here in Switzerland, secular retailer Migros is selling a line of cosmetics under the name „I AM“. How can a secular cooperative sell products under the name „I AM“??
Tolle's main message is obviously:
„Live the moment, don't worry about the future, be happy. Do not reflect about your situation, do not see any evil people. Accept the fate, do not t resist.
Or in other words:
Do happily accept the jabs from criminal pharma giants related to Rockefeller, until you drop dead and you are beamed up right into Nirwana.
I do not like the physiognomy of Eckhart Tolle!
