England's criminal justice system is letting Raymond Varley go free, in spite of the fact that India wants to put him on trial for child abuse.

Judges in England say that Varley will not be prosecuted because he is suffering from the early onset of dementia.

Raymond Varley has sex convictions in the UK stretching back to the 1970s.

Varley is linked to an international child abuse ring which preyed on more than 150 children from Dr Freddy Peats' orphanage in Goa in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

In India Varley faces five charges including buggery. The youngest of his alleged victims was aged five.

Child protection specialist Christine Beddoe says of Varley:

"A dangerous predator remains in Britain and he may never face trial...

"It is unforgivable that the Crown Prosecution Service did not appoint a psychiatric expert to conduct a separate mental health assessment on Varley."

The Holy Trinity Paedophile Ring "was a group of professionals that in 1975 stood trial at Leeds Crown Court and were found guilty of the sexual abuse of young boys including abuse within the Holy Trinity church, Huddersfield, and the trade in child sexual abuse images to Copenhagen and Amsterdam."

On trial in 1975 were: the Rev John Poole, vicar at the Holy Trinity Church, Raymond Varley, a former child care worker, and Clive Wilcock, a school teacher. 

Two other men named during the trial, Dr John Byles and a Mr Jack Nicholls, were missing. 

Young boys had been sexually abused in the vicarage, in the church and in the crypt.

Two suspects in the Bernard Oliver murder were Dr Martin Reddington and Dr John Byles.

Photos of the abuse were sold to pornographic magazines in Copenhagen and Amsterdam.

The Rev Poole, Raymond Varley and Clive Wilcock were all found guilty.

Dr John Byles, named as one of the top suspects in the murder of Bernard Oliver in 1967, evaded justice. 

In early 1975, Byles was reportedly found dead at the Proserpine Hotel in Queensland, Australia.

In 1967, the dismembered body of a teenage boy, Bernard Oliver, was found in two suitcases in the village of Tattingstone in Suffolk in the UK.

Bernard Oliver is linked to a large child abuse ring involving the gangster Kray Twins, friends of Lord Boothby.

In 1977, Dr Martin Reddington was identified as one of three men owning the distinctive suitcases used in the murder of Bernard Oliver.

Reddington, along with Dr Byles, was wanted for questioning in connection with the murder in London of a boy which took place around 1973.

"Despite the fact that the police wanted to talk to him regarding very serious sexual crimes and even murder, Dr Reddington seems to have flitted back and forth between Australia and the UK where he died in Surrey in 1995."

This raises the possibility that Reddinton was being protected by the security services.

For 20 years, Dr Freddy Peats ran a large children’s home in Goa in India.

He acted as a social worker with the Catholic church. He was a top member of the Lions Club.

Goa – not a safe place.

A small boy who used to visit Peat’s children's home told his father that Peats had injected something into his testicles.

The father contacted the police.

In April 1991, the police raided Peats' residence and discovered narcotics and a huge collection of sadistic hardcore child porn.

In one photo, a two-and-a-half-year-old girl is held by her hands and legs 'like a hammock'.

"Another partially visible man holds her legs while his huge organ stabs and twists into her.

"The baby’s mouth is stretched in an explosive expression of unbearable pain and shock. Her face is rumpled and you can tell she's screaming."

One photo shows a six-year-old boy blindfolded and strapped to the wall. Drugs are being pumped into his testes.

One seven-year-old boy is seen bound with rope, and his month gagged with a cloth.

Peats was part of an international child abuse ring.

This ring supplied children and porn to child abusers worldwide.

Some children were kidnapped.

Hundreds of children were 'spirited away' from India by Peats’ associates.

The ring is believed to have links to the Paedophile Information Exchange (PIE) in the UK, the Paedo Alert Network (Pan) in Holland, the Lewis Carroll Collectors’ Guild, the Childhood Sensuality Circle and the North American Man-Boy Lovers’ Association (NAMBLA).


Duncan Grant who was jailed in India for six years in 2006 for sexual abuse. He had set up Anchorage shelters for street children in Bombay, where the abuse took place. He is a former Royal Naval Reserve officer and the grandson of Maj-Gen Sir Philip Grant.www.telegraph.co.uk

It appears that neither the police nor the local government of Goa wanted to prosecute Peats.

However, a Mumbai-based child rights activist called Sheela Barse campaigned to have Peats brought to court. In 1996 Peats went to jail and that was where he died.

But most of his associates have been allowed to escape.

Peats' associates were from the UK, New Zealand, France, Australia, Sweden, Germany…

Roy Fernandes, one of Peats' victims said: "I was with (Peats) from the end of 1975 till 1984, nine years.

Fernandes says: "Peats used to send photos to his friends. To Holland, to Germany, to France…. They used to send him money. Foreigners used to come here… They took … some of them… abroad."

In 1967 a 17-year boy Bernard Oliver was found murdered at Tattingstone.

His body had been dismembered and left in two separate suitcases.

The record producer and songwriter Joe Meeks, another rumoured lover of Ronnie Kray, had been arrested in suspicion of the boy's death and committed suicide less than a month later.

While in jail, Reggie Kray had a relationship with a young boy called Brad Lane.

Reggie Kray signed a legal document declaring Brad to be his adopted son.

Police search Tattingstone, Suffolk 1967. ‘Tattingstone suitcase murder’ 

In 1967, the dismembered body of a teenage boy, Bernard Oliver, was found in two suitcases in the village of Tattingstone in Suffolk in the UK.

Bernard Oliver is linked to a large child abuse ring involving the gangster Kray Twins, friends of Lord Boothby.

The Needleblog refers to two suspects in the Bernard Oliver murder, Dr Martin Reddington and Dr John Byles, and to their links to The ‘Holy Trinity’ Paedophile Ring.

The Holy Trinity Paedophile Ring "was a group of professionals that in 1975 stood trial at Leeds Crown Court and were found guilty of the sexual abuse of young boys including abuse within the Holy Trinity church, Huddersfield, and the trade in child sexual abuse images to Copenhagen and Amsterdam."

On trial in 1975 were: the Rev John Poole, vicar at the Holy Trinity Church, Raymond Varley, a former child care worker, and Clive Wilcock, a school teacher. 

Two other men named during the trial, Dr John Byles and a Mr Jack Nicholls, were missing. 

Young boys had been sexually abused in the vicarage, in the church and in the crypt.

Photos of the abuse were sold to pornographic magazines in Copenhagen and Amsterdam.

The Rev Poole, Raymond Varley and Clive Wilcock were all found guilty.

Dr John Byles, named as one of the top suspects in the murder of Bernard Oliver in 1967, evaded justice. 

In early 1975, Byles was reportedly found dead at the Proserpine Hotel in Queensland, Australia.

The Kray twins ran a bodyguard and 'protection' business for Hollywood stars, such as Frank Sinatra, and for Arab princes.

In 1977, Dr Martin Reddington was identified as one of three men owning the distinctive suitcases used in the murder of Bernard Oliver.

Reddington, along with Dr Byles, was wanted for questioning in connection with the murder in London of a boy which took place around 1973.

"Despite the fact that the police wanted to talk to him regarding very serious sexual crimes and even murder, Dr Reddington seems to have flitted back and forth between Australia and the UK where he died in Surrey in 1995."

This raises the possibility that Reddinton was being protected by the security services.

Raymond Varley was one of the men convicted in 1975 for their part in the ‘Holy Trinity child abuse ring’.

Raymond Varley is wanted in India in connection with his involvement in child abuse in Goa.

The Ricky Dearman above is not necessarily the one who visited India.

"This angered a group of taxi drivers ... who claimed the cops were lenient towards foreigners.

"An argument ensued between Ricky and the taxi drivers, allegedly leading to a scuffle. Ricky then phoned his sister and her husband...

The father contacted the police.

Some children were kidnapped.

Hundreds of children were 'spirited away' from India by Peats’ associates.

The ring is believed to have links to the Paedophile Information Exchange (PIE) in the UK, the Paedo Alert Network (Pan) in Holland, the Lewis Carroll Collectors’ Guild, the Childhood Sensuality Circle and the North American Man-Boy Lovers’ Association (NAMBLA).

It appears that neither the police nor the local government of Goa wanted to prosecute Peats.

However, a Mumbai-based child rights activist called Sheela Barse campaigned to have Peats brought to court. In 1996 Peats went to jail and that was where he died.

But most of his associates have been allowed to escape.

Peats' associates were from the UK, New Zealand, France, Australia, Sweden, Germany…
