Elon Musk has violated the most core principles of business acquisition and business psychology:
- Keep popular brand name marques when possible
- Avoid brand names with strong negatives
Twitter's 'value' was in two things -
- Its brand name
- Its hundreds of millions of users
Musk destroying the first may destroy the second
Musk has even eliminated the friendly Twitter bird symbol

We are all attached to brand names, we enjoy buying brands we knew from years ago
Companies buy popular market brands but typically continue the old name, only a tiny part of the label signifying the new owners

Three big problems for 'former Twitter' with the new name 'X'
- 'X' means emptiness and lack of identity
We typically say 'if you invest in company x' with 'x' as a mere place-holder, of no identity or character
- 'X' means deletion and cancellation
On a typical computer one uses 'x' to cut or delete as in cntrl+x

- 'X' refers to pornography and the forbidden
TV series 'The X Files' - 'X rated', xxx adult films - xvideos often the world's top pornography site
It is hard to imagine that the world's diplomats and government officials will continue to be content with 'posting on X' to communicate, given the associations of 'x'
Will Musk sell 'X cars' instead of 'Tesla' now? Likely not
Is this intentional sabotage by Musk acting for elites, of what had been - especially pre-strong-censorship - a major communications tool, part of an era we may never see again?
