When the UK military tried to recruit young men for the Boer war, they found that vast numbers of them suffered from rickets and stunted growth caused by malnourishment.

The 'socialists' and 'liberals' wanted an end to brutal working conditions.
Some of the Old Guard wanted the rebellious young men sent off to be killed in the trenches.
In April 1965, Lord Patrick Moynihan was charged with "persistently importuning for an immoral purpose" (sex with boys)

The 2004 'Ukrainian child pornography raids' occurred in July 2004, when police raided a softcore child pornography ring operating in the cities of Kiev, Kharkiv and Simferopol.[1]

An American called Andrew Slate, of the Mercy Ministries/Sobinka group, has written about his time at the Source of Hope children's camp in the Ukraine.
The children were aged 7-13.
