DEEPAK CHOPRA - HEALING SUFFERING

Chopra

Chopra studied medicine in India before emigrating in 1970 to the United States.

He sees the human body as composed of energy and information.

Chopra speaks and writes regularly about consciousness and Vedanta philosophy - arguing for the primacy of consciousness over matter.[85]

It is consciousness, he writes, that creates reality; "we are thoughts that have learned to create a physical machine".[87]

He argues that the evolution of species is the evolution of consciousness seeking to express itself as multiple observers; the universe experiences itself through our brains:

"We are the eyes of the universe looking at itself".[88]

In his book Quantum Healing, Chopra stated the conclusion that quantum entanglement links everything in the universe, and therefore it must create consciousness.[91]

Chopra argues that everything that happens in the mind and brain is physically represented elsewhere in the body, with mental states (thoughts, feelings, perceptions, and memories) directly influencing the human body.

He has stated, "Your mind, your body and your consciousness – which is your spirit – and your social interactions, your personal relationships, your environment, how you deal with the environment, and your biology are all inextricably woven into a single process … By influencing one, you influence everything."[94]

Chopra believes that the mind has the ability to heal the body - a person's thoughts and feelings give rise to all cellular processes.[101]

In 2001, ABC News aired a show segment on the topic of distance healing and prayer.[109]

In it Chopra said that "there is a realm of reality that goes beyond the physical where in fact we can influence each other from a distance".[109]

Chopra was shown using his claimed mental powers in an attempt to relax a person in another room, whose vital signs were recorded in charts which were said to show a correspondence between Chopra's periods of concentration and the subject's periods of relaxation.[109]

Chopra states "The placebo effect is real medicine, because it triggers the body's healing system."[111]

Chopra sees the universeas having three layers:

1. the "material" world,
2. a "quantum" zone of matter and energy,
3. and a "virtual" zone outside of time and space, which is the domain of God, and from which God can direct the other layers.

States of fear make us more susceptible to dis-ease. That’s why there is all this fear-based programming. All not for the best interest of humanity. Whose side are you on, man?)

Chopra has written that human beings' brains are "hardwired to know God".

In 2013, Chopra published an article on what he saw as "skepticism" at work in Wikipedia, arguing that a "stubborn band of militant skeptics" were editing articles to prevent what he believes would be a fair representation of the views of such figures as Rupert Sheldrake, an author, lecturer, and researcher in parapsychology.

The result, Chopra argued, was that the encyclopedia's readers were denied the opportunity to read of attempts to "expand science beyond its conventional boundaries".[131]

SCHRODINGER - MONISM

Austrian physicist Erwin Schrodinger thought about the meaning of life. His ideas were heavily influenced by monist (oneness) philosophy

Many people have thought about the meaning of life.

"Jesus knew that we're carrying the Kingdom of Heaven around with us, inside, where we're all too goddam stupid and sentimental and unimaginative to look?

"You have to be a son of God to know that kind of stuff." - J. D. Salinger, in Zooey (1957)

The person who is not attached to external pleasures, the person who is tuned into the divine, feels everlasting joy. - Bhagavad Gita, 5.21

We do not belong to this material world that science constructs for us. We are not in it; we are outside. We are only spectators. - Erwin Schrodinger

The fundamental truth is that the world of our sense-experience is all illusion - maya.

Quotes from Erwin Schrödinger -

Nirvana is a state of pure blissful knowledge... It has nothing to do with the individual.

No self is alone.

We are never in a position to say what really is or what really happens, but we can only say what will be observed in any concrete individual case.

The ego is an illusion.

Indeed in a certain sense two egos are identical - when one disregards their Karma.

The goal of man is to preserve his Karma and to develop it further... when man dies his Karma lives and creates for itself another carrier.

For thousands of years men have striven and suffered and begotten and women have brought forth in pain.

A hundred years ago, perhaps, another man sat on this spot; he felt pain and brief joy as you do. Was he someone else? Was it not you yourself?

Consciousness cannot be accounted for in physical terms. For consciousness is absolutely fundamental. It cannot be accounted for in terms of anything else.

I insist upon the view that 'all is waves' (invisible energy).

The multiplicity is only apparent. This is the doctrine of the Upanishads (Hindu texts).

And not of the Upanishads only. The mystical experience of the union with God regularly leads to this view, unless strong prejudices stand in the way.

There is only one mind...

Consciousness is never experienced in the plural, only in the singular.

The personal self equals the omnipresent eternal self.

True lovers, as they look into each other's eyes, become aware that their thought and their joy are numerically one, not merely similar or identical...

The plurality that we perceive is only an appearance; it is not real.

Vedantic philosophy... has sought to clarify it by a number of analogies, one of the most attractive being the many-faceted crystal which, while showing hundreds of little pictures of what is in reality a single existent object, does not really multiply that object...

You - and all other conscious beings as such are all in all.

It is not possible that this unity of knowledge, feeling and choice which you call your own should have sprung into being from nothingness at a given moment not so long ago.

Rather this knowledge, feeling, and choice are essentially eternal and unchangeable and numerically one in all men, nay in all sensitive beings.

This life of yours... is, in a certain sense, the whole... I am this whole world.'

Erwin Schrodinger.

Eternally and always there is only now, one and the same now; the present is the only thing that has no end.

Vedanta teaches that consciousness is singular, all happenings are played out in one universal consciousness and there is no multiplicity of selves.

This life of yours which you are living is not merely a piece of this entire existence, but in a certain sense the whole; only this whole is not so constituted that it can be surveyed in one single glance.

We do not belong to this material world that science constructs for us. We are not in it; we are outside. We are only spectators.

I am very astonished that the scientific picture of the real world around me is deficient.

It knows nothing of beautiful and ugly, good or bad, God and eternity.

Science cannot tell us a word about why music delights us, of why and how an old song can move us to tears.

The observing mind is not a physical system, it cannot interact with any physical system. Sensations and thoughts do not belong to the "world of energy."

Monism

Monism is a belief that there is only one mind.

Heaven is inside of you, according to Jesus.

I call it the Tao - Laozi

A person who is not attached to external pleasures but enjoys happiness in the soul, the person who perceives Brahman (the divine) in everything feels everlasting joy. - Bhagavad Gita, 5.21

The ancient Hindu philosophers stated as a fundamental truth that the world of our sense-experience is all illusion (maya), that change, plurality, and causation are not real, that there is but one reality, God.

Quantum theory is now discussing instantaneous connections between two entangled quantum objects such as electrons.

This phenomenon has been observed in laboratory experiments.

The entangled objects somehow communicate instantaneously at a distance.

Jesus knew that we're carrying the Kingdom of Heaven around with us, inside, where we're all too goddam stupid and sentimental and unimaginative to look? You have to be a son of God to know that kind of stuff. - J. D. Salinger, in Zooey (1957)

ERWIN SCHRODINGER AND RELIGION

Erwin Schrödinger

Erwin Schrödinger was an Austrian scientist who won a Nobel Prize.

Schrödinger had an unorthodox view of 'God'.

Schrödinger imagined a cat, unseen, in a box .

According to quantum mechanics the cat may be both dead and alive until the box is opened and the cat is observed.

According to Schrödinger, the mind of the person who opens the box decides if the cat is alive or dead.

In other words, mind creates matter.

In other words, the mind can tune into Heaven or Hell.

...

Erwin Schrödinger had a lifelong interest in the Vedanta philosophy of Hinduism, and in Budhism and in Christianity.

He said: "We living beings all belong to one another, we are all actually members or aspects of a single Being, which we may in western terminology call God, while in the Upanishads it is called Brahman."

He saw the possibility that individual consciousness is a part of one big consciousness pervading the universe. [22]

Erwin Schroedinger On God

Erwin Schrödinger said: "We do not belong to this material world that science constructs for us.

"We are not in it; we are outside."

How is it possible .

In other words, it is the mind and not the body that is important.

Erwin Schrödinger wrote about Nirvan and Karma and the 'Self'.

Hindus and Buddhists disagree about 'God'.

Vedanta Hindus teach that our soul, when purified, returns to 'God'.

Buddhists teach that Nirvana is something beyond our understanding.

"The Buddhist Nirvana is not the primordial ground, the eternal essence, which is at the basis of everything and form which the whole world has arisen - the Brahman of the Upanishads...

"The Buddhist Nirvana is something altogether different which must be characterized as a nothing in relation to the world, but which is experienced as highest bliss by those who have attained to it..."

Vedanta and Buddhism .

Erwin Schrödinger said: "Nirvana is a state of pure blissful knowledge...

"It has nothing to do with the individual.

"The ego or its separation is an illusion.

"Indeed in a certain sense two "I"'s are identical namely when one disregards all special contents - their Karma.

"The goal of man is to preserve his Karma and to develop it further.

"When man dies his Karma lives and creates for itself another carrier."

Erwin Schrodinger .

How do you tune into Nirvana / Paradise / Heaven?

You switch off the selfish ego.
