What do historians say about the Holocaust?

Yale's Professor Timothy Snyder, the author of Black Earth: The Holocaust as History and Warning, believes:

1. Large numbers of the 'victims' died outside the camps.

2. The Germans were not the only perpetrators. 

3. Holocausts keep on happening.

3. The genocide was not the fault of nations (the Germans), or of states (Germany) or of science.

According to Snyder:

1. The Nazis feared overpopulation and food scarcity. Genocide was Hitler's answer.

2. Currently there are people who want to reduce the size of the populations in such places as the Middle East and Africa. Hence the current genocides.

Professor Peter Longerich has written Goebbels: A Biography.

According to Longerich, Goebbels suffered from Narcissism.

Narcissism involves extreme selfishness, a grandiose view of one's own talents and a craving for admiration.

GOEBBELS was JEWISH and 'anti-semitic'.

Goebells was anti-semitic only in the case of Jewish groups which he did not approve of.


1943 Holocaust in India.

Professor Nikolaus Wachsmann has written KL: A History of the Nazi Concentration Camps. 

Wachsmann points out:

When the Nazis took over Germany, they set up concentration camps which were used to hold Hitler's opponents, both 'right wing' and 'left wing'.

In 1938 Reinhard Heydrich and his boss Heinrich Himmler took over Interpol.

"They invited police chiefs from around the world to come and admire the concentration camps. 

"Invitations went out to Scotland Yard and J Edgar Hoover to visit Dachau."

Professor Dan Stone has written The Liberation of the Camps: The End of the Holocaust and its Aftermath.

Jews were not a majority of the camp survivors at the war's end, but Stone concentrates on the Jewish survivors.
