Shaker Aamer is alleged to have worked for the CIA's al Qaeda.

Is this why Shaker Aamer has 'No plans to sue' over Guantanamo?

Shaker may have worked for the CIA in various locations, including Bosnia, Afghanistan, London, the USA and the Philippines.

If Shaker Aamer really was working for the CIA's al Qaeda, would he really be tortured at Quantanamo?

While being detained by the US military, Moazzam Begg said (PDF) that Aamer had "served as a recruiter for al-Qaida".

After hook-nosed Aamer's plane touched down in Britain, "Aamer's wish was to be met only by lawyers.

"A private reunion with his wife, Zin Siddique, was expected to take place later when he would also see his four children.

"He has never met his youngest, who was born on the day he was flown to Guantánamo Bay."

Shaker Aamer lands back in UK after 14 years

Since Aamer returned to Britain, there appear to have been no interviews with Shaker's wife Zin Siddique or with his four children.

A number of prisoners died at Guantanamo.

On January 18, 2010, attorney and journalist Scott Horton published an article in Harpers magazine asserting that the men ... died during their interrogations at "Camp No".[19] 

Horton wrote that Shaker Aamer had also been brought to a secret interrogation site, about one kilometre from Camp Delta ... and subjected to interrogation ... that included asphyxiation.
