Mary Porsont, who used to work at La Piscine, one of the clubs owned by Marcel Hofmans in the early 1990s, has also given a testimony that appears in the Dutroux files.

In the 1993-1994 period she worked for the labour union SETca (Syndicat des employés, techniciens et cadres) and the Socialist Party.

Among the people she got to know was a certain Richard de Groot.

De Groot soon introduced her to Roger Labarbe, the national chairman of the SETCa.

They offered her to come with them to sexual orgies, for which she would get a considerable compensation (she needed money).

Mattheussen used this building as a storage or working place.

In this building, the police found many boxes.

"These spoke about a 1998 investigation, ran from a very secret location in Utrecht: an investigation into a network of top public officials, two district attorneys (19 in total at the time in the Netherlands), a former minister, a former attorney of the Queen and a single professor who would have sex with underaged boys. 

"The investigation had begun at the direction of the College of Prosecuter-Generals - instigated by the district attorney of Amsterdam, Vrakking.

"Demmink played an important role in that investigation. Detectives had suspected that this top public official had given information to one of the main suspects, the Amsterdam professor Van R., with whom he was friends. Because of that, the professor avoided prosecution, the detectives stated."

In 1991, top Belgian politician Andre Cools knew too much about top US politicians' links to Belgian crime and was assassinated in Liege.



On 13 December 2011, there was a grenade and gun attack at Place Saint-Lambert in Liege.

An attacker, 'later identified as Nordine Amrani', aged 33, armed with grenades and an assault rifle, attacked people waiting at a bus stop.

There were six fatalities, including the attacker ('who shot himself'), and 123 people were injured.[15]

On 13 December 2011, several gunmen opened fire in the centre of the Belgian city of Liege. 

Several people were killed and many were wounded. 

The dead included teenage boys aged 15 and 17, and a 75-year-old woman. 

Reports said that at least three men carried out the attack.

Belgium has been hit before. 

The CIA-NATO's strategy of tension

In Belgium, in 1984 a bizarre operation occurred around Vielsalm in the Ardennes region. 

A squad of US Marines were parachuted into Belgium, and met by a member of the Belgian military intelligence. 

They hid for a fortnight before attacking the police station of Vielsalm, in a so-called Oesling exercise, killing a Belgian officer. One marine was injured during the operation, losing an eye. 

Initially the attack was passed off as terrorism, but was later proven to be the work of the American and Belgian military - as confirmed by the Senate investigations of 1991. 


Other attacks occured, where, as was the case in Vielsalm, arms and ammunition were taken. Arms that found their way subsequently to extremist groups. 

One central question in the Belgian Senate investigation into the stay-behind network was whether it had been involved in the so-called Brabant Massacres of the 1980s. 

These were a group of attacks that occured in the area around Brussels called Brabant over a period of two years. Jewellers, restaurants, and in a number of cases supermarkets were attacked by a gang of heavily armed and ruthless men. 

In all the attacks very small amounts of money were taken, while "at the same time massive brutality and professionalism was employed" [NATO's Secret Armies pg 139]. 

For example, on November 9th 1985 on a busy Saturday, three armed hooded men entered a supermarket and started shooting. Eight people were killed, some while trying to escape.

 The money taken from the raid amounted to a couple of thousand pounds, and was found dumped in a canal in an unopened sack... 

An official report published on the Brabant Massacres in 1990, before the discovery of the secret army network, had concluded that the killers had official links: 

"According to the report, the killers were members or former members of the security forces – extreme right-wingers who enjoyed high-level protection and were preparing a right-wing coup" 

 [NATO’s Secret Armies, pg 145] 


Liege is linked to Marc Dutroux, who ran a child kidnapping and abuse ring, supplying children to the elite. 

In 1991, Belgium's former deputy prime minister, Andre Cools, announced that he was about to make some revelations about the mafia and their links to some of the most important people in Liege. 

"Cools had most imprudently announced to the Belgian press... that he would soon release startling evidence about corruption in Belgium's growing arms industry and its ties to the Canadian billionaire Bronfman brothers, a number of major U.S. political figures and republican fat cats with influence reaching into the inner circles of the Bush White House. 

"Among the names that Cools promised to present evidence on were Dick Cheney, Neil Bush, Frank Carlucci, Donald Rumsfeld and members of thepowerful Republican Barbour and Racicot clans who all own large shares in major arms manufacturers as well as Britain's Jonathan Aitken, Thatcher's secretary of state for defense who had large holdings in a string of British arms suppliers and was a leading figure in the Tory Party hierarchy."

Cools was shot dead.

Before he could speak out. 

Belgian TV came up with an anonymous witness who claimed that leading Socialist politician, Guy Mathot, had ordered Cools to be killed.

In 1994 Mathot was charged with corruption over kickbacks paid to Belgium's Socialist parties. 

Willy Claes was NATO Secretary General and a Belgian. He was caught up in the Mathot kickbacks affair and was forced to resign. 

Melchior Wathelet was top judge who released Dutroux from prison in 1991. 

Wathelet was Belgium's judge at the European Court of Justice. 

Wathelet was Belgium's Justice Minister at the time when Cools was shot dead. 

In 1996 there were reports that the gangs involved in the Cools' killing had been involved with Dutroux.

March 11, 2009 – GERMANY 
Nine pupils, three teachers and three passers-by are killed in a school shooting at Winnenden in southern Germany by Tim Kretschmer a former pupil who then kills himself. 

June 2, 2010 – ENGLAND Twelve people are killed when Derrick Bird, a 52-year-old taxi driver, goes on a shooting spree in the English region of Cumbria, before killing himself. 

April 9, 2011 – THE NETHERLANDS A gunman opens fire in a packed mall in the Netherlands, killing six people before shooting himself dead. 

July 22, 2011- NORWAY A bomb attack on government buildings in Oslo that kills eight is followed by a shooting which kills 69 at a summer holiday camp organised by the ruling Labour party on the island of Utoya, near to the capital. Anders Behring Breivik, a right-wing extremist is arrested for carrying out both attacks. 

December 13, 2011 – BELGIUM Three people, plus the gunman, are killed when a man, armed with grenades, opens fire on a square packed with children and Christmas shoppers in the eastern Belgian city of Liege. 

 In ITALY a far-right militant kills two Senegalese street vendors and wounds three people in a shooting spree in Florence after which he apparently kills himself.

Willy Claes was foreign minister of Belgium from 1992 until 1994, and secretary general of NATO from 1994 until 1995, when he resigned after the discovery of a bribe of over 50 million Belgian francs that was accepted during contract negotiations with Agusta helicopters during the time he was minister of economic affairs. For that he was convicted in 1998.

Dutroux was released from prison early. Reportedly the Belgian police helped him to kidnap children so they could be abused by top people, including police and judges.

In 2003, Nordine Amrani was given a two year suspended sentence for rape.

In 2007, the police visited Nordine Amrani's home and found rocket launchers, powerful rifles, and ammunition.

The police also found thousands of cannabis plants.

Amrani was sent to jail in 2008.

Amrani was on parole when the Liege shootings took place.

Why was he not under closer supervision?

He managed to obtain a FAL Belgian assault rifle, grenades and other weapons soon after his early release from prison in October 2010.
