In the UK, only 28% of the public trust “most news most of the time”, according to a poll in January 2020, down from 40% in January 2019.

The Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism has found that overall trust in the media continues to fall globally.

In the January poll, across all 40 countries involved in the research, 38% said they trust “most news most of the time”.

In January 2016, just a few months before the Brexit vote, 50% of people in the UK said they trust “most news most of the time”.

This is 22 percentage points more than the 28% recorded in January 2020.

Trust in the BBC with the most 'partisan' groups has fallen by 20 percentage points since 2018, according to the research.

Moslem al-Asadi, a doctor living in exile in Iran, has said that the real Saddam died in 1999 from cancer.

On 3 March 2011, we read that, Iraq's Moqtada al-Sadr urged Iraqis to protest against any possible US military intervention in Libya.

According to Sadr, the USA installed Gaddafi.

Sadr accused the USA and western nations of:

1. Planting agents in Arab states.

2. Supporting dictatorships.

3. Then intervening in the name of democracy and claiming to liberate Arabs.

Saddam was put into power by the CIA.

'Saddam' offered to leave Iraq in order to avoid a war.

'Saddam' escaped to Belarus.

Saddam was put into power by the CIA.

Richard Sale, UPI Intelligence Correspondent, wrote about Saddam and the CIA on 4/10/2003

According to Sale, British scholars and former U.S. diplomats and intelligence officials say that Saddam Hussein was used by the U.S. intelligences services for over 40 years.

In 1959, Saddam was part of a CIA-authorized six-man squad trying to assassinate Iraqi Prime Minister Gen. Abd al-Karim Qasim.

CIA operative Miles Copeland told UPI the CIA had had "close ties" with Iraq's Baath Party, and with the Egyptian intelligence service.

Roger Morris, a former National Security Council staffer, confirmed that the CIA had chosen the Baath Party "as its instrument."

According to another former senior State Department official, Saddam was in his early 20s, when he became a part of the U.S. plot to get rid of Qasim.

Gaddafi was put into power by the West and was allowed to retire to Harare. 

Adel Darwish, Middle East expert and author of "Unholy Babylon," said that Saddam's CIA handler was an Iraqi dentist working for CIA and Egyptian intelligence.

U.S. officials separately confirmed Darwish's account.

The 1959 assassination was botched. Qasim escaped death, and Saddam escaped to Tikrit, thanks to CIA and Egyptian intelligence agents, several U.S. government officials said.

Saddam then moved to Beirut, according to Darwish and former senior CIA officials. In Beirut, the CIA put Saddam through a training course, former CIA officials said.

Saddam then moved to Cairo. According to former U.S. intelligence officials, Saddam made frequent visits to the American Embassy.

In 1963 Qasim was killed in a Baath Party coup. Morris claimed that the CIA was behind the coup.

The CIA provided the Iraqi National Guardsmen with lists of suspected communists who were then murdered, according to former U.S. intelligence officials.

Middle East expert Adel Darwish told UPI that Saddam presided over the mass killings.

A former senior CIA official said: "It was a bit like the mysterious killings of Iran's communists just after Ayatollah Khomeini came to power in 1979. All 4,000 of his communists suddenly got killed."

Saddam became head of al-Jihaz a-Khas, the secret intelligence service of the Baath Party.

The CIA/Defense Intelligence Agency connection with Saddam continued.

According to a former DIA official, the U.S. shared satellite intelligence with both Iraq and Iran during the Iran-Iraq war in an attempt to produce a military stalemate.

"'There was a significant decline in Iraqi combat strength starting from around March 31,' an intelligence source said.

"'In interviews with coalition interrogators, Iraqi commanders have attributed the decline in combat to the feeling that Saddam had fled.'"

Was Saddam put on trial or was it a double?

It seems to us that the Saddam who was on trial was a fake.

The body language was not that of the dictator.

The face looked different.

BAGHDAD -- Seldom in history has there been a question as to the true identity of a defendant in a court trial.

However, in the alleged trial of former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, controversy abounds as to whether or not the man being tried is, indeed, Saddam Hussein.

Mike Ruppert reported June 18, 2004, that the Russian newspaper Pravda published a story claiming the U.S. finally allowed Saddam's wife Sajida Heiralla Tuffa to see her husband.

Within moments of entering the prison in Quatar where the deposed president is allegedly being held, she reportedly reemerged screaming in a rage, “This is not my husband, it's his double, where is my husband? Take me to my husband!”

Since Tuffa's public display of outrage, several reporters have noted that live footage and photos of the man being tried as Saddam reveal that he has bad teeth and an underbite. Conversely, photos of the real Saddam consistently show that he has near perfect teeth and an overbite.

"Sajida arrived from Syria with her official escort Sheikh Hamad Al-Tani, and then entered the prison, emerging only moments later pink with rage and shouting, "This is not my husband but his double. Where is my husband? Take me to my husband".

"American officials rushed forward to shield Mrs Saddam from perplexed Russian observers, trying to insist that Saddam had changed a lot while in custody and she probably didn't recognise him.

"This was certainly not the best way to handle the Iraqi President's wife. "You think I do not know my husband?" Sajida shouted furiously, "I was married to the man for more than twenty-five years!" Then she stormed off, never to return.

"This remarkable confrontation was reported by Pravda and four other newspapers in the east between 13 and 17 April, but the New York Times and others made damn sure you didn't read or hear about it in the west."

The bombed vehicles were immediately disposed of  - without any photographs or documentation of the damage.

2. The explosives experts confirmed that the 7/7 London bombs involved an unusual variant of the military plastic explosive C4 at all four bomb sites.

The remains of timing devices were also found at the subway blast sites, which meant that the bombers did not have to be onsite.

4. The police quickly came up with the names of the 7/7 London bombers, who were most likely 'patsies' or 'double agents'.

The police claimed that all were 'clean skins', unknown to the police.


Mohammad Sidique Khan, suspected of working for MI5/MI6. His mother had met the Queen.

Nicholas Sarkozy then pointed out that Khan and Tanweer were very well known to the security services.

Khan's body was not found at the Edgware Road site where he was supposed to have died.

On July 12th, police did not appear to have any bombers' bodies to do DNA testing on.


Jamaican-born Germaine Lindsay, married to Samantha Lewthwaite who is suspected of being an agent of MI5/MI6.

The police said that all the bombers looked Pakistani.

But Lindsay is Black-Jamaican.

The police provided Lindsay's wife Samantha Lewthwaite with 'protection.'

5. The police claimed to have found home made explosives linked to the bombings.

Yet, the explosives experts had confirmed that the bombs involved an unusual variant of the military plastic explosive C4 at all four bomb sites.

6. Police claimed that they had both CCTV footage as well as eyewitness confirmation that the accused caught either the 7:40 a.m. or 7:48 a.m. train from Luton to London's King’s Cross on the morning of July 7th.

The UK government was eventually forced to admit that these trains did not actually run on that particular morning.

The police refused to show any footage that showed any of the alleged bombers in London that day.

7. When Hasib Hussain was named as the bus bomber, witnesses came forward with descriptions: Hussain was either clean shaven or had stubble; he had a huge bag or a small bag; he was wearing a dark suit or a flashy top; he was either fidgeting with his bag or something exploded when he sat down.

The bus should have had four CCTV cameras operating; police claimed that they had no footage from any of them, so there was no proof that Hussain had been on the bus and there was no indication of what had caused the explosion.

In 1978, the government in Afghanistan was peaceful, moderate, progressive and non-communist.

The US government wanted control of Afghanistan.

Brzezinski said in a 1998 interview:

"It was July 3, 1979 that President Carter signed the first directive for secret aid to the opponents of the .... regime in Kabul.

"And that very day, I wrote a note to the president in which I explained to him that in my opinion this aid was going to induce a Soviet military intervention."

Brzezinski said he "Knowingly increased the probability that (the Soviets) would invade."

The US government plans to balkanise and control the oil rich parts of the world. 

Peter Dale Scott pointed out, in The Road to 9/11, that "billions of CIA and Saudi dollars would ultimately be spent in programs that would help enhance ... Wahhabistic jihadism."

In 1979, Hafizullah Amin, who was reportedly a CIA asset, carried out a coup in Afghanistan.

Amin "halted the reforms, and murdered, jailed, or exiled thousands of (moderates) as he moved toward establishing a fundamentalist Islamic state." (Michael Parenti, Afghanistan, Another Untold Story. Global Research: December 4, 2008: globalresearch.9)

The Soviets intervened in order to replace Amin. The Soviet invasion took place in 1980.

Reportedly, the US plans to break up Saudi Arabia, and several other oil-rich countries.

The USA took the side of the Moslem extremist Afghan Mujahideen.

In 1981, CIA Director Casey worked with Saudi Prince Turki bin Faisal and the Pakistani ISI "to create a foreign legion of jihadi Muslims."

This idea had "originated in the elite Safari Club," a coalition of intelligence agencies, which included the CIA and French intelligence.

More than 100,000 Islamic militants were trained in Pakistan, in camps overseen by the CIA and MI6.

Britain's SAS training future al-Qaida and Taliban fighters in bomb-making and other black arts.

Future al-Qaeda leaders were trained at a CIA camp in Virginia.

This was called Operation Cyclone.

It continued after the Soviets left Afghanistan in 1989.

Drugs money was used to finance the Afghan Mujahideen.

When Britain was in India, Britain's East India Company turned opium into India's main export.

According to Alfred W. McCoy, in The Politics of Heroin: CIA Complicity in the Global Drug Trade, "CIA activities in Burma helped transform the Shan states ... into the largest opium-growing region in the world."

In the 1960s and 1970s, the CIA promoted the drugs trade in Laos and Vietnam.

In the 1980s that the CIA turned Central Asia into a major supplier of heroin for the world market.

The CIA helped Afghanistan's heroin to reach Europe and America.

CIA money went to Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, Afghanistan’s leading mujahideen drug lord.

Between 1979 and1980, drug-related deaths in New York City rose 77%.

In the early 1990s the Taliban emerged, and it was supported by the CIA.

Selig Harrison, a scholar with links to the CIA, said that the CIA worked with Pakistan to create the Taliban.
