The files in the case of the murder of 14-year-old Elsie Frost (above) are to be kept secret by the UK government until 2060.

Wakefield in West Yorkshire is associated with Peter Sutcliffe and his friend Sir Jimmy Savile.

Elsie was reportedly stabbed near a railway line, while making her way home.

Many people were in the area at the time.

A knife was found near the murder scene.

The well-dressed driver of an Austin Cambridge parked near the scene was never traced.
