UK government documents reveal that Cedric Belfrage (above) was a top spy for Soviet Russia.

Cedric Henning Belfrage (1904 - 1990) is linked to Lord Victor Rothschild, who was a top man in MI5 and MI6.

Belfrage was born in Britain but became an American citizen.

Belfrage was a Cambridge dropout, fixer for the movie mogul Samuel Goldwyn, film critic, journalist and spy.

After the fall of Nazi Germany, Belfrage became a "press control officer" in the American "Psychological Warfare Division" and was sent by the Americans to Germany.

Belfrage had access to the top secrets.

Belfrage is seen as being as important as the other Cambridge spies, whose leader was reportedly Lord Victor Rothschild and whose members included Kim Philby, Donald Maclean, Anthony Blunt and Guy Burgess.

Guy Burgess claimed to be the illegitimate son of Lady Rothschild.

From 1942 until 1944, Belfrage was employed by MI6 as the right-hand man of William Stephenson, who was the most senior British intelligence officer in the western hemisphere.

Belfrage was interviewed by the FBI.

Belfrage told the FBI that, on the instructions of MI6, he had given the Soviets certain material, but, that it was useless bait, intended to trick the Russians.

Apparently, MI6 then gave Belfrage their support.

Belfrage was not prosecuted, but he was deported from the USA.

Belfrage was married five times.

Belfrage died in Cuernavaca, Mexico in 1990.

Robert Harley was popular with everyone due to his modesty, decency, charm and sense of humour.

Robert Harley was Head Boy at Arnold House School, and at Eton, and then he moved on to a college at Cambridge.

Robert Harley was found hanged in the college garden in Cambridge.

He had been doing some work for a Conservative candidate in the 1992 general election.

Robert's father G I Harley, a very decent man, was Lord Mayor of Westminster from 1981-1982.

In the UK, a man who became a top Conservative cabinet minister "lured 'Jane', a teenage girl, to his flat and brutally raped her."

This former cabinet minister is also alleged to have sexually abused teenage boys.

Jane ­reported the rape to police in 2012, 45 years after the event, after ­the police opened an investigation into a "VIP paedophile ring" said to involve the former cabinet minister.

Member of parliament Tom Watson, has written to the Director of Public Prosecutions, Alison Saunders, criticising the ­police's decision.

"I find her a very ­credible witness," said Tom Watson.

Tom Watson says the police failed to ­follow proper procedures by not putting the rape claims to the ­alleged attacker.
