It’s a bit like the United States and Canada finally agreeing to recognise — after centuries of genocide and land clearances — respectively, the American Indian nations and the Canadians Indigenous peoples, by granting each people or tribe jurisdiction over a designated reservation(s).

‘Recognising’ Palestine (at some indeterminate point in the future) — AFTER the country has been desecrated, its people genocided, and millions of Palestinians forced to flee as refugees to foreign lands — will mean recognition for a tiny Palestinian ‘reservation’ that is no longer a real, functioning nation or society.

A Palestine in name only. A ‘reservation’ imposed on the colonised by the colonisers. A country with only a fraction of the land area and population it once held, and no real sovereignty over its own affairs. Policed and menaced at every juncture by Zionist Israel, and further diminished every year with incursions of yet more Israeli ‘settlers’ and their accursed ‘settlements’.
