Slovakia and Hungary both border Ukraine ... both governments are now solidly united against entering the war. Deutsche Welle news:

Peter Pellegrini of the ruling nationalist coalition is set to become Slovakia's president. The ruling coalition is opposed to providing Ukraine with military aid.

Peter Pellegrini of the ruling nationalist coalition is set to become Slovakia's president. The ruling coalition is opposed to providing Ukraine with military aid.
Pellegrini is in a coalition with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico of the left-wing nationalist Smer-SD party, which won the parliamentary election in September 2023. Also a junior partner in the coalition is the far-right Slovak National Party (SNS).
Slovakia's president ratifies international agreements, appoints high-level judges, is the commander-in-chief of the armed forces and can veto laws passed by parliament.
Pellegrini portrayed [his opponent] Korcok as a war-monger doing the election campaign and suggested the candidate could drag Slovak troops into the war if elected.'

The fact that both Slovakia and Hungary share a border with Ukraine, puts the lie to the grand NATO theme that there needs to be some kind of great 'fear' of Russian invasion
These countries are right there on the 'front lines', yet they have no fear of Russians, they call for cease-fire, peace, negotiations, re-drawing borders.
All the more striking given Hungary being invaded by Russia within living memory, in Moscow's suppression of the 1956 Hungarian rebellion. Hungary doesn't keep the grudges like in Poland and in the Baltics.
It is like how all those thousands of non-Zionist Jews in Jerusalem and Israel, have no fear of Palestinian rule over Jews, even now with all the horrors of Gaza ... and thus they put the lie to the Israeli claims that 'Hamas threatens genocide'.
Non-Zionist Jews shed tears with their Palestinian neighbours, they call for cease-fire, peace, negotiations, re-drawing borders, they know that Jews who did no harm, will go back to living safely under Muslims, as they did for many centuries.
