(In an episode of meningitis, a six-yearold reported being out of the body with a sense of being completely free of pain and totally surrounded by love.) 

The experience described is similar to my own as a 4 year old with peritonitis in 1970. 

Later, as a student of Kundalini meditation in 1988, it was explained to me that the feeling of returning to one’s physical body upon conscious realisation of the ongoing spiritual experience, is due to the fact that “we cannot taste our tongue”.
