Illegal Settlers Attack Shepherding family in Masafer Yatta

Masafer Yatta – On Tuesday, February 20th, armed illegal Israeli settlers attacked a shepherding family and their sheep near the villages of Al Jawaya and Tuwani, in Masafer Yatta. The settlers reportedly let their dog loose on the sheep, injuring three, discharged a weapon, and hit a child.

Shepherd Hamze Shawaheen reports that 2 armed assailants dressed in army fatigues (believed to be from Susiya or another nearby settlement), came upon him and his family mid-morning. They beat and pushed to the ground one of his sons and many of his sheep, and then sent a dog among them to harm and break up his flock. Hamze attempted to film, but they pointed a gun at him and threatened to shoot him. He states they fired a weapon towards the herd, but no gunshot injuries were noted. … continue

Palestinian child killed in Israeli occupation forces shooting in Qalqiliya

QALQILIYA – Israeli occupation forces (IOF) shot and killed a 14-year-old Palestinian child in Azzun town to the east of Qalqiliya governorate on Wednesday.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said that the child Fadi Suleiman was hit with an IOF live bullet in the heart, adding that he succumbed to his critical injury in hospital.

Earlier at dawn Wednesday, a Palestinian young man was killed by IOF shooting in Jenin refugee camp.

Local sources said that Aref Al-Qaddoumi, from Kafr Qaddoum village in Qalqiliya, was killed in the Jenin camp while seven others were wounded in the IOF storming of the refugee camp.

Israeli air raids leave multiple casualties in Syria, Lebanon

At least two people were killed and one injured by an Israeli airstrike on a residential building in the Syrian capital of Damascus on 21 February.

“At approximately 9:40 this morning, the Israeli enemy launched an air attack with several missiles from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, targeting a residential building in the Kafr Sousa neighborhood in Damascus,” a military source told the state-run Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

The attack on the Syrian capital came a few hours before Israeli warplanes hit the town of Majdal Zoun in southern Lebanon, which killed 40-year-old Khadija Salman and six-year-old Amal al-Durr, and injured several other bystanders.
