“The Court then goes on to detail accounts … of the factual situation, quoting three different senior officials at length, including Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner General of UNRWA:
“‘…This has been the largest displacement of the Palestinian people since 1948.
“‘This war affected more than 2 million people — the entire population of Gaza. Many will carry lifelong scars, both physical and psychological …
“‘An entire generation of children is traumatized … Thousands have been killed …’
“This of course explains why the immediate response to the ICJ ruling was a coordinated attack by Israel and the combined imperialist powers …
“It is especially humiliating for Israel that the Court quoted … the President of Israel himself as giving clear evidence of genocidal intent, along with two other government ministers …
“‘… [Para 52] On 12 October 2023, Mr Isaac Herzog, President of Israel, stated, referring to Gaza: ‘… It is an *entire nation* out there that is responsible. It is not true this rhetoric about civilians not aware, not involved … We are at war. We are at war …
“On 13 October 2023, Mr Israel Katz, then Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of Israel, stated on X (formerly Twitter): ‘... All the civilian population in [G]aza is ordered to leave immediately … They will not receive a drop of water or a single battery until they leave the world.’
“Again, this … is a finding of fact by the Court …
“[The] very next day after President Herzog made a genocidal statement, as determined by the International Court of Justice, he was met and offered ‘full support’ by Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission and Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament …
“[Israel has killed] over 180 Palestinian civilians since the Order was given from the International Court of Justice …
“… [People] like you and I continue to have a vital role, as everybody does, in using the power of the people to wrest control from a vicious political class of killers …”
