Bomb in St Petersburg kills prominent Russian nationalist who was Kremlin critic as well as hated by Zelensky ... 'terrorism deep inside Russia', as during the 1990s Chechen conflict
24 others injured in massive blast at St Petersburg café where a celebration was underway ... "The cafe targeted on Sunday was previously owned by Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of Russia's notorious Wagner mercenary group" https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-65155075
Russians debate whether this is false flag, or terror by Ukrainians within Russia
The murdered blogger, known as 'Vladlen Tatarsky' - real name Maxim Fomin - was a leading figure who greatly supported Russia's incursion into Ukraine, and had fought in Donbass ... but who also strongly criticised the Kremlin as impeding war success through incompetence and corruption ... whilst advocating direct attacks to kill Zelensky and Ukraine leadership
Telegram is full of intensive debate -
Was this killing by Russian security services, eliminating a major critic, and also providing pretext for more aggressive actions against Ukrainians ... as with alleged false flags against Chechens in the 1990s?
Or was the killing carried out by agents amongst the several million Ukrainians who have fled into Russia in recent years?
It is suggested the explosives were inside a small statuette presented to Tatarsky during the celebration at the café, video of that here, taken moments before the blast https://t.me/anatoly_nesmiyan/8784
But others argue that it would have been difficult to place sufficient explosive material inside that small item ... and Russian security services seemed a bit too quick with details
Regarding the St Petersburg Tatarsky assassination -
Daily Mail has a page with photos and video, including short video clip with subtitles, of the interrogation of the young woman Daria Trepova who gave the exploding statuette to Tatarsky.
Trepova's spouse says he thinks she is a patsy ... In the video, she seems somewhat simple of mind, as a chosen patsy might well be. Daily Mail:
"Trepova's partner, Dmitry Rylov - also in his 20s and a member of the so-called Russian Liberation Army - insisted that she had been 'set up'.
Rylov, who had previously been detained at anti-war rallies in Russia, said today: 'I believe that my wife was set up. I am in full confidence that she would never be able to do something like that on her own volition.'"
