I am inclined to agree. Not only are these ceremonies being conducted openly to the thrall of millions; but the ideas are embraced and played out in societal deferential attitudes to those in power, only few of us are pushing back or challenging the return yo feudalism . Sigh

I do not think these ‘gods’ are being summoned, per se, since I am by no means certain that these malign forces or entities preexist human beings, or would exist today absent human beings ‘making them’.
Rather, I suspect human beings are continually (re)creating these forces — whether unwittingly on the part of the masses (you and me), or in the case of certain elites, deliberately — which are emanations of the darkest parts of the human psyche in liberated, concentrated, form.
Liberated — or even worshipped — the darkest parts of the human psyche appear to take on a kind of material dimension. Words and thoughts are energy, and energy’s tendency is toward becoming or affecting material reality.
