"Chabad Rabbis Under Arrest by Ukrainian Authorities for Collaborating with Russian Invaders
In Kherson Ukraine, which was re-captured by Ukrainian forces on November 11, 2022, Chabad Lubavitch rabbis are being jailed for collaborating with Russian troops while the city was occupied.
Kherson’s Chief Rabbi Itzhak Wolff has since fled to Germany ... Several of his underlings at his Kherson Chabad house synagogue have been imprisoned for life by Ukrainian authorities.
It is not just the Chabad house in Kherson that were accused of collaborating with the Soviets. Illia Karamalikov, a jewish nightclub owner and member of Kherson’s city council, was also accused of collaboration, arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment for treason. Karamalikov was very close to Rabbi Wolff and is also very close to Chabad."
