Back in the summer, I warned you that once the politicians and jobsworths were allowed to impose new post-lockdown restrictions, they would go on a berserk power grab.
The list of what’s allowed and what isn’t is a catalogue of sheer insanity.
For instance, you can shoot ducks, but you can’t feed them. You can sleep with your wife or husband, but you can’t play tennis with them....
Police forces which constantly plead poverty and can’t be bothered to patrol the streets or respond to burglaries appear to have no trouble summoning up the Heavy Mob at the drop of a helmet to confront Covid transgressors.

Not on Twitter. However after watching this spectacle and hearing the poor womans' plight, it is truly awful what has happened.
In short. Mother gives birth. Released from hospital whilst her new born is kept in longer at an ante-natal unit. Hospital cites jaundice as the reason - arguably not uncommon.
However, woman reattends hospital and is told she can't come in without PCR test. Likewise is told unable to release child without said test.
The child was not suspected of having C19 (only jaundice). Therefore on these grounds alone falls short of satisfying the (illegal) legislation known as The Health Protection (Coronavirus Regulations) 2020 Act.
If the requirements of the Act had been satisfied to their ends, the hospital could (in effect) test without consent.
Therefore, as no consent was given by the mother, the hospital may be guilty of false imprisonment and acting ultra vires (ie with powers they don't have).
False imprisonment occurs when a person intentionally restricts another person’s movement within any area without legal authority, justification, or the restrained person's permission. Actual physical restraint is not necessary for false imprisonment to occur.
A person (according to Black's Law Dictionary) is a 'legal fiction' that includes Corporations and Trusts. This definition means a breach by the hospital could easily become a criminal matter. In common law, the child is a victim and has been held against the will of the parents.
I hope this lady gets help or the child is released.
