The boss of Turing Pharmaceuticals, Martin Shkreli, raised the price of Daraprim from $13.50 per tablet to $750 per tablet.
Martin Shkreli was born and raised in Brooklyn, went to Baruch College, worked for the Jewish hedge fund manager Jim Cramer in his teens - and had his own hedge fund by the time he was 21.
Shkreli raised the price of Daraprim, a 62-year-old treatment for a dangerous parasitic infection, to $750 a tablet from $13.50.
