The late Gerry McGivern was a bomber who worked for the IRA, which reportedly worked for MI5/6.
Gerry McGivern was so popular at a Conservative Club in Torquay, in England, that the club's members lowered the Union Jack to half mast when he died in 2014.

McGivern was part of an IRA bomb team that blew the legs off soldier Steve Gill in west Belfast in 1989.
McGivern became a heroin drug lord in Liverpool.
McGivern was an informant for the police in Northern Ireland.
McGivern was acquainted with Freddie Scappaticci who worked for the IRA and reportedly carried out 50 murders.
Freddie Scappaticci was reportedly working for MI5/6.
After leaving prison McGivern moved to Torquay.
McGivern died at the age of 46.
