VOTE FOR RONNIE IN HAMPSTEAD?

...
Ronnie Carroll

In May 2015, voters in Hampstead and Kilburn could elect, as their Member of Parliament, Ronnie Carroll.

Ronnie died on 13 April 2015, but will still appear on the ballot paper.

The Economist

Should Ronnie win the election in this constituency, it will be re-run, due to his recent death.[8]

In 1959 Ronnie helped to launch the TV pop programme Oh Boy! with a 17-year-old Cliff Richard and Marty Wilde.

When Sean Connery once called round to see him, he recalled, "I gave Sean a bottle of scotch and I had a bottle of vodka and after a few hours he said: 'There's a woman I fancy in Paris.'

"But he couldn't get off the floor so I phoned her and said: 'Sean wonders whether you'd come over for a drink.'"
