42% of the Scots in Scotland oppose independence.
44% of the Scots in Scotland support independence.
14% of the Scots in Scotland are don't knows.
68% of the English living in Scotland oppose independence.
10% of the people living in Scotland are English.
In 1995, Quebec was prevented from gaining independence by its non-French minority.

They are British, not English, who oppose Scotland's secession from the UK. The British are a minority in these islands as the 2011 census showed.
