The MSM coverage of fire on the Big Island was oddly a mix of stories of a fire that occurred curiously on the same date in 2022 and the same week in 2021. MSM used the Maui fire videos imbedded in the Big Island news of these older fires. Also, the Mauna Kea Resort fire burned only the space between Spencer Park and the resort leaving the houses and resort untouched.
