Scotland - schools being destroyed

'Scotland’s biggest teaching union, the EIS, has commented on the increase in violent incidents in schools.

Schools are struggling amid 'tidal wave' of badly behaved, aggressive pupils and 'mob rule' in some classrooms

'The president of the Scottish Secondary Teachers’ Association, Catherine Nicol, addressing the union’s conference this past weekend, spoke at length about the “elephant in the room” for Scottish teachers being the “tidal wave of distressed behaviours” which has hit Scottish secondary classrooms.

'Ms Nicol went on to say that some pupils are rude, disrespectful and selfish, crave attention and simply refuse to do tasks that they don’t want to do. She went on: “At worst, mob rule prevails in classrooms and corridors. In many schools, teachers are faced with torrents of verbal abuse during lessons. The number of reported violent incidents is increasing.”'

Some of Scotland's churches are closing down?

Certain people have the tools to destroy institutions - the church, the sanctity of marriage etc?

« Don’t make cheese sandwiches if you can’t afford them, Ann Widdecombe tells struggling families

The politician, who is a member of the Reform UK party, was asked what she would advise people faced with the spiralling costs of basic food items

She added there was no “given right” to low food prices

Journalist Rachel Cunliffe said the situation is so dire for some families that they “cannot afford to feed their children” as a result of the increasing price of basic items. But Ms Widdecombe shot back: “None of it's new. We've been through this before." »
