The pair are united in grief over the brutal murder of their mutual companion, Jill Dando.

Sir Cliff and Nick Ross were lucky enough to spend a great deal of time with Dando in the run-up to her slaying — a slaying that reportedly terminated her investigations into a paedophile ring linked to Jimmy Savile and other Jewish personalities at the BBC.
