When 6 African Presidents tried to fly into Libya to make peace before Gaddafi was killed ... but NATO contemptuously refused to let them land

We all remember the horrific killing of Libya's Muammar Gaddafi in 2011 after the attack by NATO.

Uganda President Yoweri Museveni, addressing the Pan-African Parliament of the African Union, recalls a major episode from that time -

The African Union itself organised a peace mission, and six African nation Presidents bravely got on a plane together, to fly to Libya to negotiate peace.

Quite awfully, NATO ordered the six African Presidents to turn around and go back home, refusing to allow them to land in Libya.

As Museveni says, "African Presidents, who are on an African mission, over African soil ... we are ordered by NATO to go back!" ... utter NATO contempt for Africa's highest leaders, seeking to make peace in their own lands ... Western colonialist attitudes have not disappeared.
