Ofcom claims Mark Steyn broke its rules when discussing Covid
Britain’s broadcasting regulator said Steyn “used UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) data in a broadcast on 21 April last year to wrongly [sic] claim the figures provided evidence that a third booster was causing higher infection, hospitalisation and deaths …
“Steyn was previously one of the TV channel’s leading presenters before resigning last month after it demanded he personally pay the fines issued if found in breach of the broadcasting code …
“Alan McCormick, the GB News chair, said all staff would be put on mandatory Ofcom training …
“A spokesperson for the channel said: ‘We are disappointed by Ofcom’s finding ... He [Mark Steyn] drew a reasonable conclusion from the facts. However, he drew only one conclusion. We accept that the data offered several valid interpretations …”

I'm sure the Guardian doesn't offer multiple potential conclusions - they always publish one conclusion and it's usually the wrong one. But Ofcom doesn't get up their noses as a result.

Let’s see the BBC, and indeed every media organisation whether on TV or in print, have their journalists add a disclaimer to every news ‘report’:
“The news ‘story’ to which we have just subjected you — while not necessarily ‘lies’ per se (though we do that as well) — nevertheless consisted of cherry-picked facts, versus other facts that we omitted, presented in a slanted way to underscore the interpretations and conclusions of a particular journalist and/or this media organisation as a whole — and how we want you, the viewer or reader, to react and behave as a consequence of consuming said news ‘story’.
“To understand the basis of our interpretations and conclusions, understand the values, beliefs, agendas and motives — including the powerful social, monetary, and political influences — that characterise this media organisation and all our employees.
“All of which shaped, influenced, and skewed the news ‘story’ to which we just subjected you.
“To whose benefit will it be if you behave or react as we intend you to?”
Ofcom is a retirement home for biased BBC state propagandists and part of the same toxic problem.
Ask anyone who lived in Nazi occupied Europe or the Soviet Union.
Without free speech and with censorship and denouncements there is no democracy the latter becoming a mere pretence and a front for tyranny.
The Quislings of OFCOM are the enemy within !
