On September 1, in Tbilisi, a meeting was held between Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili and the Managing Director of Rothschild & Co., Arielle Malard de Rothschild.

At the meeting, the strategy of turning Georgia into a regional multifunctional hub was discussed, which was prepared in cooperation with the company and Kaiser Partner at the initiative of the Prime Minister. The abovementioned initiative combines "concrete projects and steps" and takes into account the attraction of foreign investments in Georgia, the creation of new jobs and the introduction of financial and technological innovations.

For information, the cooperation agreement between the Government of Georgia and the managing partner of Rothschild & Co. Arielle Malard de Rothschild was signed in Brussels on December 17, 2021. In addition, on January 17, 2022 PM Gharibashvili announced that the country is preparing legislative initiative to establish special financial zones. According to him, within the scope of the contract with the world-famous financial company Rothschild, special financial centers will be built in Tbilisi and Gonio and their development will significantly contribute to the promotion of Georgia as a country with a developed financial infrastructure in the region and the world.
