'Donald Trump and two of his adult children lost several court battles to try to put off, or avoid having to sit for, depositions (giving vidence) in the attorney general's civil investigation into the Trump Organization.
'They were scheduled to begin next week.'
But then Ivana disappered.

It has been said that Trump died of cancer a while ago. An impersonator is playing as Trump. The family has agreed to play along - all except Ivanka who has suddenly died.
