Saddam worked for the CIA
Richard Sale, UPI Intelligence Correspondent, wrote about Saddam and the CIA, on 4/10/2003.
According to Sale, British scholars and former U.S. diplomats and intelligence officials say that Saddam Hussein was used by the U.S. intelligences services for over 40 years.
In 1959, Saddam was part of a CIA-authorized six-man squad trying to assassinate Iraqi Prime Minister Gen. Abd al-Karim Qasim.
CIA operative Miles Copeland told UPI the CIA had had "close ties" with Iraq's Baath Party, and with the Egyptian intelligence service.
According to another former senior State Department official, Saddam was in his early 20s, when he became a part of the U.S. plot to get rid of Qasim.
Adel Darwish, Middle East expert and author of "Unholy Babylon," said that Saddam's CIA handler was an Iraqi dentist working for CIA and Egyptian intelligence.

Saddam then moved to Beirut, according to Darwish and former senior CIA officials. In Beirut, the CIA put Saddam through a training course, former CIA officials said.
Saddam then moved to Cairo. According to former U.S. intelligence officials, Saddam made frequent visits to the American Embassy.
In 1963 Qasim was killed in a Baath Party coup. Morris claimed that the CIA was behind the coup.

Richard Sale, UPI Intelligence Correspondent, wrote
The CIA provided the Iraqi National Guardsmen with lists of suspected communists who were then murdered, according to former U.S. intelligence officials.
Middle East expert Adel Darwish told UPI that Saddam presided over the mass killings.
A former senior CIA official said: "It was a bit like the mysterious killings of Iran's communists just after Ayatollah Khomeini came to power in 1979. All 4,000 of his communists suddenly got killed."
Saddam became head of al-Jihaz a-Khas, the secret intelligence service of the Baath Party.
The CIA/Defense Intelligence Agency connection with Saddam continued.
According to a former DIA official, the U.S. shared satellite intelligence with both Iraq and Iran during the Iran-Iraq war in an attempt to produce a military stalemate.

The USA did not free Iraq.
They wrecked it.
This was deliberate.
Satellite TV has been kept away from the recent deadly protests against poverty and misery in Iraq.
(February 2011 -Iraq's protests test Maliki's leadership)
Iraqis could see what was going to happen to Libya, Tunisia and Egypt.
On 3 March 2011, we read that, Iraq's Moqtada al-Sadr urged Iraqis to protest against any possible US military intervention in Libya. (Iraq's Sadr urges protests against US over Libya)
According to Sadr, the USA installed Gaddafi and then wanted to remove him.
Sadr accused the USA and western nations of:
1. Planting agents in Arab states.
2. Supporting dictatorships.
3. Then intervening in the name of democracy and claiming to liberate Arabs.
Saddam was put into power by the CIA.
Saddam offered to leave Iraq in order to avoid a war.
The real Saddam escaped to Belarus.
CNN (CNN.com - UAE official: Hussein was open to exile - Nov 2, 2005) reported:
"Days before the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003, Saddam Hussein agreed in principle to accept an offer of exile from the United Arab Emirates... a UAE government senior official told CNN.
"The reported offer came before an emergency Arab League meeting in Egypt in discussions between UAE officials and a Hussein aide...
"The UAE official's account was repeated by another source who attended the Arab League summit and, separately, by a senior UAE government official...
"News of the reported offer from the UAE emerged... during an interview broadcast by the Arab network Al-Arabiya with Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahayan, the crown prince of Abu Dhabi, one of the United Arab Emirates.
"The offer was spearheaded by his father, then-UAE President Sheikh Zayed Ben Sultan Al Nahayan, who died November 3...

Hussein Given Safe Haven in Belarus?
"Iraqi President Saddam Hussein has obtained safe haven in Belarus, several intelligence agencies believe.
"Western intelligence sources said several intelligence agencies in the Middle East and Europe base this assessment on new information about a March 29 flight from Baghdad to Minsk.
"They said the flight of a chartered cargo plane could have transported Saddam, his sons and much of his family to Belarus.
"'There's no proof that Saddam was on the plane but we have proof that a plane left on that day from Baghdad airport and arrived in Minsk,' a senior intelligence source said.
"'If you can think of anybody else who could obtain permission to fly out of Baghdad in the middle of a war, then please tell me.'...
"U.S. officials said Saddam had been exploring the prospect of fleeing to Belarus over the last year.
"They said the Iraqi ruler was in close contact with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and that Minsk became a major military supplier to Baghdad.
"Within hours after the departure of the cargo flight to Minsk on March 29, the Saddam regime was awash with rumors that the president had escaped.
"Intelligence sources said the rumors spread rapidly throughout the military command and among field officers.
"'There was a significant decline in Iraqi combat strength starting from around March 31,' an intelligence source said.
"'In interviews with coalition interrogators, Iraqi commanders have attributed the decline in combat to the feeling that Saddam had fled.'"
Was Saddam put on trial or was it a double?
It seems to us that the Saddam who was on trial was a fake.
The body language was not that of the dictator.
The face looked different.
Mrs. Saddam said defendant Saddam is not her Saddam
From: Idaho Observer: Mrs. Saddam says defendant is not her husband
BAGHDAD -- Seldom in history has there been a question as to the true identity of a defendant in a court trial.
However, in the alleged trial of former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, controversy abounds as to whether or not the man being tried is, indeed, Saddam Hussein.
Mike Ruppert reported June 18, 2004, that the Russian newspaper Pravda published a story claiming the U.S. finally allowed Saddam's wife Sajida Heiralla Tuffa to see her husband.
Within moments of entering the prison in Quatar where the deposed president is allegedly being held, she reportedly reemerged screaming in a rage, “This is not my husband, it's his double, where is my husband? Take me to my husband!”
Since Tuffa's public display of outrage, several reporters have noted that live footage and photos of the man being tried as Saddam reveal that he has bad teeth and an underbite. Conversely, photos of the real Saddam consistently show that he has near perfect teeth and an overbite.
The following is from Prison Planet and was written by Joe Vials.
Sajida Heiralla Tuffah was Saddam's wife and the mother of his children.
Mrs Saddam says Saddam is not Saddam Joe Vialls June 18 2004
"After the Russians applied enormous diplomatic pressure, America was finally obliged to allow Sajida Heiralla Tuffah access to her husband in Qatar, where he had been flown in some luxury aboard a United States Air Force VIP jet.
"The facilities at Baghdad Airport were considered to be sub-standard, besides which, people were beginning to talk about the laughing and bourbon-swilling Muslim prisoner, who was the only one in sight not wearing a hood and sensory deprivation earphones, and not being sexually abused by Ricardo Sanchez.
"Well, you could have heard a pin drop all the way across Qatar.
"Sajida arrived from Syria with her official escort Sheikh Hamad Al-Tani, and then entered the prison, emerging only moments later pink with rage and shouting, "This is not my husband but his double. Where is my husband? Take me to my husband".
"American officials rushed forward to shield Mrs Saddam from perplexed Russian observers, trying to insist that Saddam had changed a lot while in custody and she probably didn't recognise him.
"This was certainly not the best way to handle the Iraqi President's wife. "You think I do not know my husband?" Sajida shouted furiously, "I was married to the man for more than twenty-five years!" Then she stormed off, never to return.
"This remarkable confrontation was reported by Pravda and four other newspapers in the east between 13 and 17 April, but the New York Times and others made damn sure you didn't read or hear about it in the west."
It is entirely likely that Saddam, who was trained and put into power by the CIA ( aangirfan: Saddam worked for the CIA), was not hanged and that the hanging video was some kind of fake.
We know that Saddam offered to leave Iraq before the war started.
MI6 HELPED GADDAFI ESCAPE FROM LIBYA?
3. There has always been speculation that Gaddafi left Libya around October 2011, the time when Gaddafi was allegedly killed.
According to The Telegraph:
6. The Cabinet Office and MI6 "prepared an exit strategy for Gaddafi in case it was necessary to strike a deal and to end the conflict."
7. UK cabinet minister Andrew Mitchell "was able to assist the officials tasked with these delicate contingency plans, helping make the necessary contacts in the capital, Malabo, and elsewhere".
Equatorial Guinea "was chosen as a prospective retirement home".
According to The Telegraph:
8. In 2004, Old Etonian Simon Mann made an unsuccessful coup attempt in Equatorial Guinea.
The 'Wonga Coup' failed after the mercenaries were arrested in Zimbabwe.
9. It is believed that some of the mercenaries involved in the Equatorial Guinea coup were also involved in the attempt to help Gaddafi escape.

"Gaddafi was quickly whisked to a sprawling mansion in Harare’s Gunhill suburb under the cover of darkness with members of MDC VAA in a secret pursuit.
"We kept a hawk’s eye on the house ... and we don’t doubt even for a second that the fallen despot is now a ‘unique guest’ to Robert Mugabe.
"The house is encircled by uniformed army personnel of the Zimbabwe National Army and is swarming with plain clothes policemen and dreaded CIO operatives.
"They said all indications were confirming what they saw, including heavily armed female blonde body guards of Libyan origin patrolling around the house where the former despot is holed up...
The SteveLendmanBlog points out the Mixed Messages on Gaddafi:
1. Leaders at times have doubles.
Washington, Britain and France desperately needed something resembling victory, even if fake, not real.
The man seen in the 'Gaddafi capture videos' is not Gaddafi.
The man in the videos is Ali Majid Al Andalus.
The person you were shown was not Muammar Al-Gaddafi /Originally published here
"According to reports reaching us, the person presented as Gaddafi, in the recent 'capture' videos, has been identified as Ali Majid Al Andalus.
"Ali Majid Al Andalus was an inhabitant of Sirte and was famous for his resemblance to Gaddafi.
"The man in the photo with the bullet hole in the head was not Muammar al Gaddafi, but his double.
"The psychopathic criminals ... used this innocent man solely for their psychological operation by having him lynched by armed thugs of the TNC before the cameras."
Gaddafi was apparently put into power by MI6 and the CIA.
The CIA and its friends controlled many people in Gaddafi's Libya.
From The Africa Report (Libya: Who owns the revolution? - The Africa Report):
The CIA's clandestine supporters made it easy for NATO to take over Tripoli.
"According to Brigadier General Abdulsalam Alhasi, who commanded the rebel's headquarters in Benghazi, the role of the clandestine supporters - soldiers, policemen, intelligence officers and even ministers who had been working for Gaddafi - was critical in taking Tripoli."
In other words, it wasn't just Gaddafi, or his double, who had worked for the CIA and MI6.
The CIA's Marty Martin led the CIA's Qaeda department from 2002 to 2004
The CIA's Marty Martin was part of a US group that offered Gaddafi a $10m deal to flee Libya
The group included a Belgian named Dirk Borgers, Neil C Livingstone a terrorism specialist who wants to be governor of Montana, Neil S. Alpert who has worked for the Republican National Committee and the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, and Randell K. Wood, a Kansas City lawyer.
GADDAFI DOUBLE WAS KILLED / WHERE'S GADDAFI?
The CIA put Nasser into power in Egypt and put Saddam into power in Iraq and put the Ayatollahs into power in Iran.
IRAN IS RUN BY THE CIA)
There is a belief that it was the CIA and Britain's MI6 who put Gaddafi into power in 1969.
According to the article entitled: Was Britain Behind Gadaffi's Coup in 1969?:
A secret 1960 US National Security Council Report explained: "There is little loyalty to him (British puppet King Idris) among the younger urban elements who do not have significant political power now, but who will have such power in the future."
The US and UK needed a replacement for King Idris and apparently chose Gaddafi.
In 1965, Britain's Colonel Ted Lough reportedly made a series of reports on Gadaffi for British intelligence.
In 1966, Gaddafi spent four months in Britain, training with the British military.
In 1969, Gaddafi carried out a peaceful coup, apparently with the blessing of the USA and UK.
Gaddafi turned Libya from being the poorest country in the world into being the most prosperous country in Africa.
But, he did not always cooperate with his CIA backers.
Does Gaddafi have Corsican roots?: Voice of Russia
Muammar Gaddafi may be the son of French Air Force officer Albert Preziosi.
There is a close likeness between Albert Preziosi and a young Muammar Gaddafi.
In 1941, pilot Albert Preziosi made an emergency landing in a Libyan desert.
He came across a tribe of Bedouins.
Reportedly, after Preziosi had a relationship with a women of the tribe, Muammar Gaddafi was born on 19 June 1942.
The French airbase used for recent operations against Libya is officially called BA-126 Captain Preziosi. Located in Upper Corsica, it is named after Captain Albert Preziosi.
WAS KHOMEINI AN AGENT OF THE US AND UK GOVERNMENTS?
Does he look partly British?
Was the Ayatollah Khomeini secretly working with the US and UK governments?
Was Iran working with the CIA at the time of the 1980 hostage crisis and the October Surprise?
Was Iran working with the CIA at the time of the Lockerbie Bombing?
In 1979, Ayatollah Khomeini took over Iran.
In 1979, Grand Ayatollah Mussa Sadr disappeared during a visit to Libya.
Mussa Sadr was the Iranian born leader of the Lebanese Shia and he "was revered and respected above all others in the Shia world." (Anti-Mullah: Who is the Ayatollah Khomeini?)
Mussa Sadr had refused to accept Khomeini as an ayatollah.
Reportedly, Khomeini was not Iranian.
He"was neither born (in Iran) nor had any Persian blood in his veins at all, paternally or maternally." (Anti-Mullah: Who is the Ayatollah Khomeini?)
Tehran by Hansueli Krapf
The following is based on an article, at http://noiri.blogspot.com/, entitled Who is the Ayatollah Khomeini?
1. In 1964 Ayatollah Shariatmadari and Ayatollah Golpayegani gave Khomeini the title of Ayatollah.
Reportedly, they had done this to save Khomeini's life, as Khomeini was facing a charge of treason against the Shah.
And reportedly it was the UK ambassador who had urged that Khomeini be saved.
2. Shariatmadari was higher in the religious hierarchy than Khomeini.
In 1979, Shariatmadari was placed under house arrest.
3. Khomeini's mother was a Kashmiri Indian.
The Iranian Senator Moussavi knew Khomeini's father. Reportedly Khomeini had Moussavi killed.
Reportedly, a story was invented that Khomeini had a Kashmiri Indian father with Iranian origins.
4. Reportedly, Khomeini's real father, was William Richard Williamson, born in Bristol, England, in 1872 of British parents and lineage.
A witness to this was a former Iranian employee of the Anglo- Iranian Oil Company (later BP), who knew the Khomeini family.
In 1979, when Col. Archie Chisholm, a BP political officer and former editor at The Financial Times, was asked about this, he neither confirmed nor denied the story.
William Richard Williamson's biography was written in the early 1950s, by Stanton Hope, a British Journalist and writer who had met Williamson in his home near Basra in the late 1940s. The book title is: Arabian Adventurer: the Story of Haji Williamson
5. Reportedly, Richard Williamson, at the age of 20, was working in South Yemen in the local police force.
"His good looks soon had Sultan Fazl bin-Ali, ruler of Lahej, persuading him to quit the police force to live with him. Richard later left him for another Sheikh, Youssef Ebrahim, a relative of the Al- Sabah family, which rules Kuwait today."
6. In Iran at this time, the British were exploiting the oilfields.
Williamson, now a Moslem, joined British Petroleum as political officer. He called himself Haji Abdollah Fazl Zobeiri.
7. Williamson took holidays in Kashmir and married at least seven times to Arab and Indian women.
His sons attended religious schools.
Reportedly, one son went to the Iranian holy city of Qom and took the name Khomeini.
8. In the early 1960s, Khomeini began to plot against the Shah. In 1964 Khomeini was sentenced to death. By becoming an Ayatollah, his life was saved.
9. Reportedly, in 1979, Khomeini was flown from France to Tehran, with the help of MI6.
The Shah of Iran was toppled by the CIA and MI6?
The mainstream media would like us to believe that the Shah was overthrown by People Power and that the CIA and MI6 were taken by surprise.
However, there is evidence that the CIA and MI6 toppled the Shah because he had become too much of a nationalist, like Nasser, and was not following instructions on oil or even opium.
The CIA did not want left-wing democrats taking over from the Shah as they might not be easy to control. So, reportedly, the CIA allowed the Ayatollahs to take over.
Radio Free Iran claimed that while at Qom, the Ayatollah Khomeini received a "monthly stipend from the British, and he is in constant contact with his masters, the British."
The British, Muslim Terrorism and September 11
On 19 January 1980, the International Herald Tribune reported that the Shah had said, two years before he was overthrown, that he had heard from two different sources connected with oil companies that the regime in Iran would change.
‘We believe that there was a plan to ensure less oil was offered to the world markets in order to bring about a price,’ said the Shah. ‘One country was to be chosen for the sacrifice... It seems that the country chosen to drop its oil production was mine.’
webgardian: Shah:Oil Companies Helped to Oust Him
The Shah's nationalist policies were making him more popular in Iran and making his country more independent and more powerful. This worried the CIA and MI6.
1. The Shah bought land from the upper classes and, along with the crown's own land, sold it back cheaply to tenant farmers. Over one a half million people to became land owners, thus ending the old feudal system.
2.The Shah allowed women the right to vote. He brought an end to the wearing of the veil.
3. He developed plans for a $90 billion nuclear power program.
4. The Shah signed petroleum agreements with ENI, the Italian oil company.
5. He began to close down the opium industry. This had been created during the days of British influence.
'Former intelligence officer' Dr John Coleman considers opium to be of prime importance in the toppling of the Shah (Conspirators’ Hierarchy: The Story of the Committee of 300 - 6). Dr Coleman is sometimes described as being a conspiracy theorist.
Coleman believes that the US government toppled the Shah of Iran.
Why was the Shah deposed...?
In a word, because of DRUGS. The Shah had clamped down and virtually put an end to the immensely lucrative opium trade being conducted out of Iran by the British. At the time that the Shah took over in Iran, there were already one million opium/heroin addicts.
This the British would not tolerate, so they sent the United States to do their dirty work for them in terms of the “special relationship” between the two countries.
When Khomeini took over the U.S. Embassy in Teheran, arms sales by the United States, which had begun with the Shah, were not discontinued...
After 1984, Khomeini’s liberal attitude toward opium had increased the number of addicts to 2 million, according to United Nations and World Health Organization statistics.
Both President Carter and his successor, Ronald Reagan, willingly and with full knowledge of what was at stake, went on supplying arms to Iran even while American hostages languished in captivity...
The arms trade with Iran was sealed at a meeting between Cyrus Vance... and Dr. Hashemi, which resulted in the U.S. Air Force beginning an immediate airlift of arms to Iran, carried on even at the height of the hostage crisis the arms came from U.S. Army stockpiles in Germany and some were even flown directly from the United States with refueling stops at the Azores.
With the advent of Khomeini... opium production skyrocketed. By 1984 Iran’s opium production exceeded 650 metric tons of opium per annum.... Iran presently rivals the Golden Triangle in the volume of opium produced.
The role of the Moslem Brotherhood and the Ayatollahs
The following is taken from http://www.redmoonrising.com/Ikhwan/BritIslam.htm
(Sources used in the article: The Biography of Dr. Mohammad Mossadegh, jebhemelli.org
Killing Hope - U.S. Military and CIA Interventions Since World War II, William Blum, 1995
MI6 - Inside the Covert World of Her Majesty's Secret Intelligence Service, Stephen Dorril, 2000)
Prior to World War II, British Intelligence cultivated ties with the Brotherhood through agent Freya Stark, the British adventurer and writer... The Muslim Brotherhood spread throughout the Muslim world and has evolved into something like a Muslim equivalent of the West's Masonic brotherhood...
"According to CIA agent Miles Copeland, the Americans began looking for a Muslim Billy Graham around 1955... When finding or creating a Muslim Billy Graham proved elusive, the CIA began to cooperate with the Muslim Brotherhood, the Muslim mass organization founded in Egypt but with followers throughout the Arab Middle East... This signalled the beginning of an alliance between the traditional regimes and mass Islamic movements against Nasser and other secular forces." (Blum)
The most noteworthy success of the Islamic movement during this time was of course the overthrow of the Shah of Iran and the installation of the Ayatollah Khomeini as the Islamic dictator. British Intelligence had used their contacts with Iran's mullahs and ayatollahs to help overthrow Mossadegh and install the Shah back in 1953, and these contacts were maintained and used again to overthrow the Shah when his regime fell out of favor.
The Establishment history of Iran's Islamic Revolution is that Khomeini's revolt was spontaneous and populist, and that it overthrew a repressive dictatorship that was hated by the people but supported wholeheartedly by the United States. It is true that the Shah's government was not a democracy and that his secret service, trained by the CIA, was one of the most effective intelligence organizations in the world.
But what is not reported is that prior to the British-sponsored massive public relations campaign on behalf of the Ayatollah the government of the Shah was loved by the vast majority of the population.
After taking over from Mossadegh the Shah began to push forward a number of nationalist policies that increased his popularity at home but, in some cases, worried the Anglo-American Establishment.
First, he signed petroleum agreements with ENI, the Italian oil company.
Then in 1963 he pushed forward on a series of popular reforms that became known as the White Revolution.
The Shah evolved into a nationalist whose path paralleled that of Nasser far too much for the Establishment's liking:
- He bought land from the upper classes and, along with the crown's own land, sold it back cheaply to tenant farmers, allowing over one a half million people to become land owners and ending the old feudal system.
- He allowed women the right to vote, and brought an end to the wearing of the veil, which were "Westernizing" moves unwelcomed by the religious sector.
- He pushed forward on a $90 billion nuclear power program.
- He moved to shut down the lucrative opium industry that had been created during the days of British Empire control that had been running for a hundred years....
The attack on the Shah's government came through the Muslim Brotherhood and through the mullahs and ayatollahs of Iran, supported and manipulated by British Intelligence...
Dr. John Coleman, a former British Intelligence agent... states in his report on Iran's Islamic Revolution (11) that the Muslim Brotherhood was created by "the great names of British Middle East intelligence" ...and that their mission was to "keep the Middle East backward so that its natural resource, oil, could continue to be looted..."
Dr. Coleman writes that in 1980 the broadcasts of Radio Free Iran divided the enemies of the Shah into four categories: 1. Iranian politicians bought by the Israeli Shin Bet, 2. The CIA's network of agents, 3. The feudal landowners, 4. The Freemasons and the Muslim Brotherhood (viewed as the same enemy).
In his report Dr. Coleman writes that in Iran, "At one time there was even a joke about the mullahs being stamped 'made in Britain.'" When the Shah introduced his plan for modernization in 1963 the Ayatollah Khomeini emerged as the leader of the religious opposition. Up until his exile from Iran in 1964, Khomeini was based at the religious city of Qom. Dr. Coleman relates that Radio Free Iran claimed that while at Qom Khomeini received a "monthly stipend from the British, and he is in constant contact with his masters, the British."
On February 1st, 1979, two weeks after the Shah's departure, Khomeini made a triumphant return to Iran. The BBC's John Simpson was on the plane that carried him back from Paris. aangirfan: BBC links to MI6?
