Thanks – quite a sight. Much of this era remained until 200 ‘conceptual art’ spaces/gala.. moved-in overnight on the Lower East Side in 1985, causing the disappearance of old New York. The fight against full-on gentrification finally lost. In cometh yuppie-ville. Previous moves into the suburbs had left many parts of the NYC accessible for whosoever; from wherever – these images reflect this. Worth remembering and maybe hope we can somehow see regained. Big up W - awake proper - in the park today (born in NYC in the years I was there). Told him about this post.
