Gary Goddard began his professional career as a stage director for the West Coast tour of Godspell when he was 19 years old. He went on to co-create and direct the "Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue" for Walt Disney World when he was 21, a musical dinner show experience that has become the longest running and most-performed musical show in history. Goddard went on to design theme park and resort attractions for Disney and Universal Studios
How Disney World's Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue almost didn't make it

"On our opening night at Pioneer Hall, our audience consisted of six tables worth of Guests. That's one table per member of the cast," recalled Gary Goddard, one of the many talented folks involved with the creation of the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue.
"That's why the original cast of the Hoop-Dee-Doo were all members of Disney World Fine Arts College Workshop program. These were kids who'd come down to the Resort to perform over the Summer. They thought that they'd be dancing in the Magic Kingdom or singing at the Top of the World. But they wound up in our backwoods show instead," Goddard laughed.

On this day in 1974, Walt Disney World's "Hoop-De-Doo Musical Revue" debuted in Pioneer Hall at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.
A dinner show that still runs today, the revue started life as part of the Walt Disney World College Fine Arts Workshop. A special summer program that allowed talented college kids from all over the country to perform at WDW, the workshop also included the All American Marching Band and the Kids of the Kingdom.

Goddard began his career at The Walt Disney Company in 1974, as an original cast member of, and later directing, the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Walt Disney World Resort's Fort Wilderness.[1] He then went on to work at Walt Disney Imagineering, where he developed concepts for EPCOT, Tokyo Disneyland, and River Country, among others.

Bryan Singer seen in old photos with latest sexual abuse accuser: lawyer

An alleged victim identified as John Doe No. 117 is seen in photos hanging out with Bryan Singer shortly before a sexual assault, the victim's lawyer said Monday. According to a lawsuit filed Saturday in federal court, Singer offered the teen — now 25 — a Quaalude and alcohol before he and Broadway producer Gary Goddard took the victim back to a London hotel suite.

The Florida lawyer who publicly accused "X-Men" director Bryan Singer of molesting underage boys produced photos Monday showing his latest client hanging with Singer shortly before an alleged sexual assault.

The photos show the unidentified boy — age 17 at the time — standing and sitting next to the famed director following the London premiere of the 2006 flick "Superman Returns."

The boy's face was blacked out, showing only his green and white striped sweater next to Singer's smiling face.

One of the photos includes actress Kate Bosworth sitting in Singer's lap.

    Ted Neeley

    The Neeley–O’Neil Connection
Neeley and Rubicon Artistic Director James O’Neil first met in a 1976 production of Superstar at the Santa Barbara County Bowl, a benefit for Jack Nakano’s Youth Theatre directed by Gary Goddard. O’Neil, recently out of Cal Arts (and an alum of the Santa Barbara program), played Annas in that production, and O’Neil and Neeley became fast friends. Says O’Neil, “I went into the wings every performance to watch Ted sing ‘Gethsemane.’ His performance of that song is one of the most electrifying moments I’ve experienced in a theatre.”

Later, when Goddard’s Landmark Entertainment Group produced the 1992 AD tour of Superstar, O’Neil was hired as Associate Director and played Pontius Pilate. The intense nature of their performances in those seminal roles drew them even closer. Says O’Neil, “Playing opposite Ted in ‘The Trial’ and ‘Pilate and Christ’ sections of the musical was very moving. The truth of his performance was undeniable and powerful.”

The run, initially scheduled for three months, continued breaking house records across the country for years. Says O’Neil, “Audience members were so profoundly touched by Ted’s work that they would wait outside the stage door to meet him, some staying until 3:00 or 4:00 a.m. in the morning.”

“As much as he gives of himself in his performances,” continues O’Neil, “Ted also gives of himself in that same way to fans. Ted is a great listener and has deep personal reservoirs - each person he meets feels heard and valued—and they are.“

Hundreds suspected pedophiles in the network

Following the provisional arrest of eleven alleged pedophile on Saturday in Aschersleben, the investigation has been extended to other provinces. The findings of the police were that several hundred people were active in an internet forum.

Magdeburg - Concerning the uncovered pedophile ring in Aschersleben (Salzlandkreis) on Saturday the police gave on Monday in Magdeburg further known details. Director of operations Kriminaldirektor Holger Herrmann said: "We have learned on April 25 from the activities in the chatroom Girl Lover (translated girl lovers) and had to act quickly, we initially only knew that there is an annual meeting of the narrower circle on 3 May, however. we did not know who is behind this name . "

TV journalist made the investigators aware of the chatroom. Its members exchanged views on its preferences, whether they prefer seven to eleven year olds, for example, or rather 0.5 to seven year old children. Herrmann: "They talked over about how to build a child's bed for bondage practices." The police initiated an investigation on suspicion of sexual abuse of children, first "against persons unknown."

A Five Year Old Girl served as a lure
It is now known that a 54-year-old Aschersleber has organized the meeting. Each participant received an invitation. Three Berliners, a Dresdener, a Leipziger, four people from North Rhine-Westphalia and a Swiss followed her. The desired objective was, according to the criminal division, to build new contacts with children.

On Saturday, the five year-old niece was a lure of the 54-year-old Ashleber. The girl would facilitate contact with other children at the zoo. "We observed the group the whole time. If it would come to acrime, we would always be able to intervene," said Herrmann.

For seven hours, the men and a woman in the field of children's playground and café terraces held on until they left at 18 clock to go back to the zoo. In four vehicles, the group drove off and had been intercepted by the police in the city center. Neither in the car nor in the later voluntary searches of apartments in Dortmund, Berlin and Aschersleben, police have found obvious pornographic evidence.

Pedophile chat room is now inactive
"But they found evidence among other media," said Herrmann. The men said in the interviews, although they admitted pedophilic tendencies, they disputed any involvement in a criminal offense. Three of them are already convicted of publications of sexual abuse of children and the possession and distributing child pornography.

This week, there will be joint appointments with state criminal offices and the Federal Criminal Police Office for further action. According to the findings of the police (virtual conversation space) several hundred participants were registered in recent times in the chat room. This is now inactive. "We are at the very beginning of the investigations and do not want to start walking aimlessly. I ask for your understanding if we do not announce our next steps."
