MOST WARLIKE & MOST PEACEFUL PEOPLES

Within the Senoi culture, a high value is placed on non-violence and the avoidance of conflict. The Semai belong to the Senoi group.

"For the Semai of Malaysia nonviolence characterizes daily life.

"They do not war and they do not feud.

"Even when confronted with slave-raiders in the past, their response was to flee into the forest.

"The Mardu of Australia are another example.

"Anthropologist Robert Tonkinson observes that 'peaceful intergroup relations are imperative for long-term survival. …

"The Mardu have no word for either ‘feud’ or ‘warfare,’ and such forms of group violence are totally lacking there."

"Warfare was probably not very common before the advent of agriculture, when most if not all humans lived as nomadic foragers."

"Violence was an ever-present element of Polynesian cultures.

"This is reflected in the oral literature and in all aspects of traditional life.

"Various customs controlled and repressed the direct physical expression of aggression within the kin group and the tribe up to a point, but there were definite boundaries of behaviour beyond which only violence could restore status or assuage injured pride.

"Punishments for transgressing ritual prohibitions and social rules often incorporated ritual sacrifice or even the death of the transgressor.

"Inter tribal warfare was extremely common, particularly when populations began to outgrow available resources."

"In two momentous early encounters, Native Americans greeted Europeans with kindness and generosity.

"Here is how Christopher Columbus described the Arawak, tribal people living in the Bahamas when he landed there in 1492: "They...brought us parrots and balls of cotton...

"'They do not bear arms, and do not know them, for I showed them a sword, they took it by the edge and cut themselves out of ignorance…..'"

"After the Pilgrims arrived in Plymouth in 1620 on the Mayflower, they almost starved to death.

"At the core of Dr Hew Len’s perspective is the idea of taking responsibility for more than your personal self because ‘you are in me and I am in you’.

"His way of expressing Ho’oponopono contains an awareness that the discordance we find in others and in the world outside ourselves is due to ‘errors’ in thought stored in our personal and collective memories.

"The belief in these errors existing in some form of collective memory accessible to all allows for a person practicing Ho’oponopono to clean these errors, whether the error originated in their personal thoughts or not."

  2. This is a very significant discussion

That people from different cultures are different, some showing more social virtues

Some cultures are nice and some not so nice

But what is also very significant now is that this kind of topic - 'HBD' - 'Human Bio-Diversity' - can be considered now 'racist' and 'right wing', to suggest some cultures are better

What if the examples were not far away tribes, but closer to home?

People are being arrested now, or careers being destroyed, for saying things publicly, about sub-groups present in their own societies ... 'These migrants are often not like us'

Yet people - including often the most 'anti-racist' in theory - seem to act on such forbidden-to-speak perceptions, speaking in euphemisms ... e.g., seeking a house in a 'nice neighbourhood', one with 'good schools'

The 'ethnic realism' sites delve much into concrete studies, which seem to show that even tho culture, upbringing, family, neighbourhood are important -

Yet it seems that much of behaviour is genetic-influenced ... cultures developed in certain ways because long-ago circumstances and practices 'weeded out' certain kinds of people, who did not have children

Studies show that people adopted as near-newborn babies, still show behaviour traits of their genetic forebears, much to the surprise of adoptive parents

North-western Europe - including south-western England, developed in certain ways, likely due to regional history ... much execution of malefactors in times past ... a great deal of outbreeding, and prohibition of cousin marriage ... aristocrats giving land tenancy to 'more intelligent, responsible' young couples, who prospered with surviving children ... which helped develop societies of wide social trust

In some of the world, however, the majority of people marry their cousins, because 'only the clan can be trusted' ... this seems to be often associated with corruption, lower 'IQ', lack of civic-mindedness, an 'ethics' where only the clan truly matters ... but there is fear to speak of this ... or of 'clan-based migrant crime gangs'

  4. A truly gruesome account of colonialism and the most barbarous scumbags (it would appear) of all. The European genocidal invaders.

However, I believe there is a an even deeper, less understood role of what kind of entities lurk within.

Ask yourself this - why do we have a Human Rights Act. Why do humans need this. Why does our legal system need to protect us. From whom? From what exactly?

The humans, a physical manifestation, a being. What else is here? Who else is here?

    Peace to the humans.

  5. I read somewhere once, and I think I might have even posted it here, that years ago human groups for no bigger than about a hundred people and so everyone knew who the psychopath was. Only a few people needed to be conned by the lying, cheating, toe rag for everyone to know who he was, and after that, he had to behave himself or he would get thrown out of the group.

But in modern society, though, psychopaths can move from group to group and start all over again wrecking people's lives.. They can also rise up in companies as modern capitalism seem to reward psychopathic behavior, like extreme greed and selfishness. And the clever, intelligent ones can use their ruthlessness to rise up in society sometimes becoming leaders of countries. These people are often pro war because they don't expect they will ever fight in one, but they think they can gain from it. There seems to be a lot of them in the Ukraine right now, sponsored by the psychopaths in the US. They are all after the money.
