Recently released from jail, Nelson was due to start a tour of the USA. His 80-strong entourage was struggling for travel arrangements before Mr Trump decided to help out.
A private jet by the name of Trump Shuttle 727 was used to take the South African delegation across the country, including stops in New York and Los Angeles. Trump gave Mandela and co, permission to use the aircraft.
Organisers on behalf of the Mandela Welcoming Committee had to shell out $130 000 for using the plane. That’s The Art of the Deal, we guess.'
