Boycott list is good, but it must focus on 2 co's now ignored:
Booking.com
and
Apple computer (which matches donors funds to the IDF)
++++++++++++

Nice idea in principle. However, just a bit of an over simplification though. A couple of soft drinks brands, rubbish coffee and even worse food. If you used ANY of those products despite their affiliation to Israel (prior to recent events) then you were /are already part of the problem.
Israel's reach is far and away much greater than a couple of bits and bobs outlined in the boycott list.
So, if you really want to make a genuine difference stop paying taxes, throw away your phone and PC, shut down all your social media accounts and ACTUALLY practice what you preach. That, might - just might - make a difference.
However, if you can't or won't do that, then it's back on the Fanta and Macdonald's it is then. No point in denying yourself a wholesome and nutritional meal with a thirst quenching drink to wash it down.
No doubt those attending the Pro Palestinian marches can post all their selfies on the plethora of social media that is used accordingly whilst virtue signalling their own irony.
Reminds me of just a few short weeks ago when walking past the US Consulate in Edinburgh. The building was empty and shut for a refurbishment. This was obvious to anyone passing. However, the Free Palestinian contingent were outside demonstrating and making lots of noise. Free, Free Palestine. I pointed out to some, nobody was there in the building and it was closed for business due to refurbishment. I was met with a response without a hint of irony "yes, we know".
So.........what next???

ReplyDeleteIsrael's reach is far and away much greater than a couple of bits and bobs outlined in the boycott list. When you factor in Global capital like BlackRock, Vanguard, Hathaway etc. Add to that the governments around the world supplying military aid, weapons and financial support. Then add to that all the tech platforms (yes, all of them). You Tube, Instagram, Facebook, X and the like, then the picture increases in magnitude once more.

Rubbish. Starbucks for example, is affecting Israel HARD. they and McD's profits both go direct to IDF. Business shows have said boycott was making a real impact. People have to do SOMETHING. Why not THAT? Apple Computer matches donations $ for $. If one donates 1000 to IDF? Apple donates another 1000 to them. Boycott is zionists' themselves favorite tool against their enemies. Money is their God and we just put a dent in it.
ReplyDeleteA couple of venti-grande skinny lattes less and Israel is literally raising the white flag.
