‘No Genocide Josh’ campaign:
ReplyDeleteVP frontrunner Josh Shapiro was an Israeli army volunteer who disparaged Palestinian people
Josh Shapiro “has had to defend his stance on Israel after an op-ed … [resurfaced] in which he wrote of being an Israeli army volunteer and disparaged the Palestinian people …
“… [He wrote the essay for] the Campus Times, the student newspaper of the University of Rochester, from which Shapiro graduated in 1995.
“In the article, Shapiro [said] that ‘Palestinians will not peacefully coexist’, because ‘they do not have the capabilities to establish their own homelands and make it successful …
“‘They are too battle-minded …’ Shapiro wrote, identifying himself as a ‘past volunteer in the Israeli army’ …”
“Addressing the self-identification as a ‘past volunteer in the Israeli army’, [Shapiro’s spokesman Manuel Bonder] said: ‘While he was in high school, Josh Shapiro … [worked on] a kibbutz in Israel …’”
“Shapiro's support for Israel has been controversial inside the Democratic Party …
“Those who oppose his candidacy launched the ‘No Genocide Josh’ campaign and continue to pressure Harris to pick another running mate …”

"On the run" Tommy with his early bookers discount with TUI. Got 15% off cos' he booked 9 months ago. Evidently there was a 'gap' in his diary from doing EDL/Far Right stuff. A nice planned visit to Cyprus to catch up with the rest of his Israeli pals.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised he got out of the country after being apprehended by Anti Terrorism Police prior to his departure circa a week earlier.
'Schedule 7 of the Terrorism Act 2000 provides police officers with unique powers to examine people who pass through the United Kingdom's borders.'
It therefore begs the question when he was milling around duty free why he wasn't detained. Section 7 removed your 'right to silence' and your detention can be extended - at least long enough for you to miss yer flight.
All smoke and mirrors eh?
He should come back and care for calm and unity.
ReplyDeleteBut wearing his Imam Kempson costume. That’ll do it.
