Russian-born social media billionaire Pavel Durov - founder and CEO of Telegram, a chief vehicle of communication for many Palestinians, and for dissidents in Russia - has been arrested in France after landing in a private plane there.
The charges stem from his alleged 'inadequate moderation' of Telegram, and this in turn bringing accusations against him for 'drug trafficking, crimes against children and fraud', due to persons allegedly involved in these crimes using Telegram.
Durov departed Russia in 2014 after clashing with Putin and armed Russian police showing up at his door. Durov now holds UAE and French citizenship, apparently living mostly in Dubai.
Durov has recently been under fire because Telegram has been a vehicle for communications by Palestinians and Hamas.
Durov's site has been a main channel for dissidents against Putin, especially those feeling that Putin and the Kremlin are purposely engaged in extending slaughter in collusion with Zelensky, Ukraine and NATO.
