Huw Edwards joins Merthyr Tydfil historic synagogue’s Jewish heritage project

Huw Edwards’ wife, Vicky Flind, is Jewish?

According to media reports, Huw Edwards and wife Vicky Flind named their children Daniel, Samuel, Amos, Hannah, and Rebecca.

Even in the case of devout Christians with High Church credentials, it might be considered remarkable to alight on no fewer than FIVE name with such a Jewish/Hebrew flavour, one after the other(?)

If, of course, one of the spouses were Jewish, then it would be a different story, and not nearly so unusual.

  2. BBC moves to erect security screen in front of statue by Eric Gill who ‘regularly abused his daughters Betty and Petra, as well as the family dog’

“Marilyn Hawes, chief executive of campaign group Freedom from Abuse, [said:] ‘It's outrageous, it makes no sense to me at all.

“‘The BBC are trying to brush this issue under the carpet.

“‘There is no consideration given for Gill's victims or any other victims…’”

  3. Kamala Harris ‘set to announce her running mate’

Reportedly, the 4 front runners who could become the next Vice President are now:

    1. Kentucky governor Andy Beshear, whom the Times of Israel describes as “pro-Israel”. “The Kentucky governor has largely declined to weigh in on Israel's war in Gaza over the last several months, including when he was asked by reporters last week whether he supported a cease-fire in Gaza,” reports Business Insider.

    2. Minnesota governor Tim Walz, who sits on Minnesota’s State Board of Investment. “The governor’s office [states] that $116 million is invested in support of Israel. But Pro-Palestinian activists said investments total over $3 billion … ‘“We don’t believe that Walz should have a moment of rest while he is funding this genocide,’ said … Minnesota Anti-War Committee member Samantha Alsadi …”

    3. Pennsylvania governor Josh Shapiro, who is Jewish and pro-Israel. In an April interview with CNN, he compared some pro-Palestinian protestors to members of the Ku Klux Klan. “One Shapiro campaign ad in 2022 focused on his Shabbat observance”.

    4. Mark Kelly, a US Senator in Arizona who is pro-Israel. Kelly is married to former US Rep. Gabby Giffords, who is Jewish. “The Arizona senator, like most other Democrats, voted to approve a foreign aid package in April that included billions in military aid for Israel … While many Democratic senators skipped Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's address to Congress earlier this month, Kelly opted to attend.”

  4. Revealed: how the BBC used MI5 to vet thousands of staff

“Confidential papers … have revealed that the BBC allowed MI5 to investigate the backgrounds and political affiliations of thousands of its employees, including newsreaders …”

    * Did the BBC-MI5 partnership ever truly end?

What information is/was contained in the hypothetical BBC-MI5 vetting and ‘control’ files on Huw Edwards?

Edwards was a top newsreader who could be 100% counted on to ‘toe the BBC-MI5 line and stay on-message’ because of what his ‘control file’ documented?

  5. Update re Southport stabbings

Telegraph is reporting that the accused youth "is orginally from Cardiff, moved to the Southport area with his Rwandan parents when he was aged six."

    https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/two-children-killed-in-knife-attack-at-holiday-club-dance-class/ar-BB1qPZuM

Channel 3 is still using the name as above in the post, Telegraph / MSN does not provide a name for the suspect

  6. Day after the Southport stabbing murders:

A second potential attacker, man 'with knife and wearing balaclava', arrested near vigil for the victims

    and also -

'At around 7.45pm, a large group of people – believed to be supporters of the English Defence League – began to throw items towards a local mosque on St Luke’s Road in Southport.'

'Flames engulf police van as Southport protesters clash with officers outside mosque'

Channel 3 is maintaining the report of the Muslim-seeming name of the reportedly Rwandan-heritage accused attacker.
Only about 2% of Rwanda is Muslim ... tho the accused 17-year-old could also be a convert in Britain.

Some on Twitter X are suggesting the MI6 connection is partly linked to the accused attacker's father, said to have been a military officer involved in the 1994 Rwandan massacre events, before arriving in Britain, the accused being born in Wales.
